The religion Kipling speaks about is called "atheism." But he referred to himself as a Christian atheist, for all the utilitarian reasons I do above. For all of these reasons I think everyone else should go to catholic church weekly, even if they make a drag queen pope and preach about diversity and transgender children in the homily.
Stop being a degenerate and take your family to Church.

There are no true atheists as much as there is no real christians or real religious people. What we have here is people pretending to be talking about god or existence, or sometimes reality maybe, when they're just speaking about society. When you speak with a christian about why you should believe in god he will talk for hours about why it's good for society to believe, and the atheist will say some similar things of why it's good for society to be a non-believer. So everyone pretends to have some answers about reality when all they have is theories about what's good for society. What I need is TRUE answers, and something like ''it will make you more productive'', ''you will live more happily'', or even ''it will remove POZZ'' is unacceptable. I will talk about this more when I have time....

Pls esplain what is this and why it didn't work for him.

What you describe is no different than secular humanism except that it admits that the lessons/mores from religions have utility to society. I agree that many people take this approach. "I go to church because it makes me feel good" is, I suppose, one way that people find God but it's not my own way.

I was baptised by protestants but any proper Trinitarian baptism is technically catholic so I voted "yes".

Since there's been so many new members coming in, I thought it would be interesting to see how the demographics have changed. Vote away, gentlemen.

I'm a relative outsider to church but I went to Catholic Christmas mass for the first time in like a decade & they were shilling hard for the refugees and waving around a plastic doll as the baby jesus

The tragedy of going to Church in the US is that most of them seem to have already gone the "Jesus wuz da real Marxist" route, while the ones that haven't and still possess some semblance of religious piety are stocked with thieves in the pews that'll pick-pocket you while the pastor at the podium is asking for two tithes and a half.
