Has anyone looked at the democratic confederalist thing the Kurds are building in Rojava. Do we see this as persisting?

Schmeisser
Yes, it's really interesting. I'm currently reading Murray Bookchin to see exactly what it is Ocalan is trying to implement. It's PKK turned eco-feminist basically.

I think it's important that it be stamped out, but it'll probably persist for awhile. Even if the Turks got the green light to crush Rojava, they don't seem to have the will or capability to launch decisive offensives.

Important to stamp out? Why? For the Turks?
Schmeisser
For Turks, Syrians, and everybody.

Why would anyone want to see a Kurdish North Korea formed in the Middle East?

Even most Kurds want nothing to do with the PKK.
Jude
I get it. Interesting to see how it will play out.

Iraqi Hezbollah posted a very glossy new propaganda video depicting the slaughter of dozens of IS fighters who attempted to assault PMU defensive berms outside Tel Afar. They couldn't get close and were slaughtered in a trench by superior firepower of the KH defenders.
