Have to agree with Bronze Age Pervert : marriage was customarily regarded as a burden even in times where the man had much more control than he does right now. The idea that a woman can cut-out more or less whenever she wants, taking half the guy's assets in the process is ridiculous. As a soulless, heartless Anglo-Saxon, I just can't imagine an economic upside to that arrangement (even with tax-breaks, sharing health insurance, etc.), unless she makes more money than you, and you adopt the Alimony Mindset. If you don't have something really good going, I suggest avoiding it.

The problem with this thread is that it starts from a false premise: the beauty of the Slavic woman is not in dispute, neither is her generally average level of loyalty, and neither is the fact that Slavic men tend to look like quasi-Mongoloids with FAS. The problem is that if you're trying to be happy in America, it just won't happen: the cost of living is ridiculous compared to what you get out of it, the place is filled to the brim with functional retards, "minorities," men in their 20s with free testosterone scores that used to be generally associated with geriatric prostate cancer patients, pre-diabetics in their teens, "Latino" youth who are given ADHD medication in order to barely pass standardized tests in grade 5 of knowledge that used to be commonplace in grade 1, Somali women who are given grants to study postcolonial Marxist Islamic feminism, all watched over by H1-B tech support gremlins who get all their answers from StackOverflow, and "white ethnic" political operatives whose entire self-perception comes from their grandfather not being able to play golf with some terminally-unpleasant WASP remnants. Unless your plan is to relocate your mail-order bride to the middle of nowhere in Montana where you don't have to see Zog at every second of every day, I recommend moving to somewhere else, literally anywhere else.

Schippeitaro unintentionally hit on an important point in his post, but didn't expand on it - a lot of women want to marry American citizens and move to the States. This is a common occurrence throughout the world. E. European, Latin American, West Asian, South Asian, Chinese, and Southeast Asian men who obtain American citizenship often end up marrying trophy wives from their home countries for no reason other than that they have their lives together and can raise their kids in the United States. Even American-born men who marry foreign women often end up 'shooting above their weight', so to speak. A lot of these women come from societies where marriage is seen as transactional and not emotional. They have none or very few partners until they get married, and stay with their husbands unless there is some major abuse going on at home. This is not to say that every woman wants to marry Americans for their passports, but a great proportion of women will be more amenable to dating/ marrying Americans for their passports.

For all the damage that Hollywood has indirectly wrought on American men, it has, to their benefit, memed women from the rest of the world into wanting to move here. This is largely because American culture and society is geared towards the benefit of women, but that is another discussion altogether.

The point of this post is that no matter your take on mail-order brides or Russian women, it is hard to deny that American men (and to a smaller extent, other Western European+Australian & NZ men) can easily marry beautiful, traditional women from good families almost anywhere else in the world just because they are American. I don't endorse using this fact to marry foreign women, but it is always an option for men who want traditional wives and don't mind marrying outside their culture and/or race.
