Hey there, comment on Egypt or post some Islamist related news.
If you're not aware that West Germany and Japan eagerly embraced surrender and occupation by the US to stave off Soviet invasion and/or Communist revolution then you floor me.
I'd say it has more to do with recognizing the merits and benefits of religion over secularism.... in their daily life.
Diaper full? This reply is devoid of argument and beneath Salo, though it sounds very self-assured despite saying nothing.
I imagine the people they have killed are not of the opinion that Jihadis are "playing" with others. What does Benazir Bhutto say?
No, the problem is that they represent a vicious reaction to Western modernism/nihilism, which is similar to what we have seen from native Western sources in the past century. It is correct to say that they are not identical with classical Islam, but that is not enough to make them heretics by Islamic standards, nor is it enough to make them cosplayers incapable of harming others. They are the "return of the repressed" writ large, and if they don't manage to turn the ME into a charnel house it will only be due to the ME races being incapable of the levels of destruction you can get from Europeans, not because the Islamists are unserious or incompetent themselves.
Ahahahahhaa it's like I'm really at RichardDawkins.net!
This was a scintillating insight worthy of r/atheism, thanks for reminding me of the kids in high school who thought they were intellectuals because they edited the school newspaper.
Ah yes, and you just blasted out of Somalia last year, didn't you? "Sharia is devised mostly for women" says the man who went to Korea to dip his dick into everything that moved. It's never the truly pious ones who advocate the benefits of Sharia, why is that. Anyway, no Muslim, by name or devoted, is supportive of women's rights. That's bullshit spewed by Muslim clerics in the west to fool westerners and then later on they're caught on tape saying in Arabic that a woman who gets beaten by her husband should not seek help.
If that's so, why do they leave their countries? Any state in the Middle East, save for Israel, is closer to a Sharia-run society than any Western country. Coming here for money and benefits? That truly makes them into the parasites Westerners accuse them of being.
Preferably not. As liberal as Scandinavia is, it is still an infinitely better place to live and raise children in than any Islamic shithole. Somalis are especially fond of Scandinavian countries, probably because of all the Sharia. See previous paragraph. Besides, the cure to extreme liberalism isn't Islam/Sharia. There is a middle path and I'm leading my children on it right now. And again, someone who fucks women he's not married to with zero consideration for the "faith of his ancestors" should simply shut the fuck up and not act like he's Allah's best Muslim. You are just as liberal as any dumb American out there, but you come on here and pretend you're "different". Spare me the bullshit, pirate.
A few become overzealous. The vast majority do not. There are a hell of a lot more honourkillings of young girls (and boys) who want to be like Westerners, than there are extreme 2nd Muslims. You're being dishonest if you're trying to make out that most 2nd/3rd gen immigrants become more religious than 1st gen. You know damn well that's just not true.
Yes, Japan was so eager that it had to be nuked into surrender. You are a laughing stock.
Which are non-existent, at least in case of Islam in its modern variant. Its just a bunch of kids playing "muslim wisemen" and Saudis bankrolling their enrollment centers aka "mosques".
"The argument presented by Asada and Frank that the atomic bombs rather than Soviet entry into the war had a more decisive effect on Japan’s decision to surrender cannot be supported. The Hiroshima bomb, although it heightened the sense of urgency to seek the termination of the war, did not prompt the Japanese government to take any immediate action that repudiated the previous policy of seeking Moscow’s mediation. Contrary to the contention advanced by Asada and Frank, there is no evidence to show that the Hiroshima bomb led either Togo or the emperor to accept the Potsdam terms. On the contrary, Togo’s urgent telegram to Sato on August 7 indicates that, despite the Hiroshima bomb, they continued to stay the previous course. The effect of the Nagasaki bomb was negligible. It did not change the political alignment one way or the other. Even Anami’s fantastic suggestion that the United States had more than 100 atomic bombs and planned to bomb Tokyo next did not change the opinions of either the peace party or the war party at all.
Rather, what decisively changed the views of the Japanese ruling elite was the Soviet entry into the war. It catapulted the Japanese government into taking immediate action. For the first time, it forced the government squarely to confront the issue of whether it should accept the Potsdam terms. In the tortuous discussions from August 9 through August 14, the peace party, motivated by a profound sense of betrayal, fear of Soviet influence on occupation policy, and above all by a desperate desire to preserve the imperial house, finally staged a conspiracy to impose the “emperor’s sacred decision” and accept the Potsdam terms, believing that under the circumstances surrendering to the United States would best assure the preservation of the imperial house and save the emperor.
This is, of course, not to deny completely the effect of the atomic bomb on Japan’s policymakers. It certainly injected a sense of urgency in finding an acceptable end to the war. Kido stated that while the peace party and the war party had previously been equally balanced in the scale, the atomic bomb helped to tip the balance in favor of the peace party.[100] It would be more accurate to say that the Soviet entry into the war, adding to that tipped scale, then completely toppled the scale itself.
Islam was a vast improvement for Arab women over pre-Islamic paganism, and this is a view supported even by generally anti-Islamic scholars and historians. It was, in fact, devised in great part for women and was regarded by medieval Christians and Hindus as too loose and lenient with women. It's strict measures against adultery were for the wife, it's tough edicts on crime for the mother and child. Sharia is practically written by the security mom and jealous wife.
Choice of immigration is less an indicator of political leaning than a personal economic decision, people in search of work or fleeing war, democide, etc.
In any case, Muslim majority countries are far more often administered by very anti-Islamic governments. You would have an argument if Muslim countries were under Islamic law and Muslims were pouring out, but that's not the case. Can you name any Muslim diaspora that fled Sharia.
I have repeatedly said that I'm a solipcist. I'm not pretending anything aside from all existence.
"
As the children of generations of immigrants to the United States have grown up, they often have drifted away from the cultures of their parents’ home countries. But some experts believe children of Muslim immigrants are different.
The younger generation of Muslims in America is forming a “new Islamic identity,” said Geneive Abdo, author of
Mecca
and Main Street: Muslim Life in America After 9/11
. She cites an increase in Muslim student associations on college campuses, a push by young parents to build new Islamic schools, and a trend among younger women to don head scarves even if many of their older, female relatives do not wear them. “Young Muslims are becoming more religious than their parents,” she said."

The 2nd and 3rd generation of Muslim immigrants in the West attend mosque and abide their religion (fasting, wearing hijab, praying five times, abstaining from pork, etc) in greater proportion than first generation immigrants. The Netherlands is the only exception to this I've heard in particular.
"According to newly released Soviet documents cited in the journal Military History Quarterly (MHQ), Stalin was finalizing plans by the spring of 1945 for an ambitious four-pronged assault that would have thrust Soviet troops onto the very mainland of Japan.
Three Soviet military objectives - Manchuria, the Kurile Islands, and southern Sakhalin - were envisioned in the Yalta agreement. But Stalin also planned to launch an invasion of Hokkaido, the northernmost of the Japanese home islands, two months before a planned American invasion of the southernmost island of Kyushu was scheduled to begin."
