and the church of a village it destroyed, which you can crawl around in

Tzintzuntzan, or maybe it's Tzantzintzun, who knows, an archeological site+ruins

Mexico felt like a savage land, I didn't like it.

I've been to Gettysburg twice and have seen all the various battlefields around the area. The town itself is gorgeous and has an aura to it that I've only experienced in very old areas of the Eastern US; many of the buildings date back to the Colonial era. Taking a tour of the battlefield near Round Top filled me with an overwhelming queasiness... I highly recommend visiting if you get the chance. Maybe I find pictures I took...
