Ancient Men of Strong Hand, Modern Pussies

Beautiful Ganymede

I'm not sure what to make of this. I mean, the life of the warrior is the ideal life. There is nothing higher than to live by the sword, and the code which regulates the man who wields it represents the highest plane of existence. However, I wouldn't trust too many of the classical historians, given their penchant for exaggeration and their willingness to incorporate rumors and hearsay into their reports in order to discredit their personal enemies. After all, modern historiography didn't really exist back then. I mean... were Caligula, Commodus and Elagabalus really that bad or did the writer alter his report here and there to make it seem that way?
