There is an interview with Alexander Dugin (Putin's Rasputin) on Syria/Putin over at altright.

Rand Paul earns a Drudge headline, asking Obama to call the vote off. There would be a lot of pressure on Rand to filibuster a vote if the Senate doesn't really have 60 votes--and who knows if he is up to the task, as it would be a real cross of the Rubicon in recent times.

I'm really unsure about this move, it certainly seems like the perfect escape for Obama and company, allowing them to save face, and act as if the threat of American military action is the ultimate tool of foreign policy, when in fact the US is in no position to really do anything to Syria. I think forcing the white house to make one of several terrible options would have been best.

I'm just going to mention here, as I noted the point in Shoutbox, that my money is on O'Bagy being a made up Mormon last name. I am unfamiliar with the surname in Celtia.
