Madge is a sects maniac

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,5-2003422392,00.html

Message ... Madonna at book launch MADONNA is one of the celebrity devotees of Kabbalah, a belief system inspired by special Jewish teachings. She is such a fan that she has based her new children’s book The English Roses, launched yesterday, on Kabbalah stories.

Other followers of the cult include Demi Moore, Jerry Hall and Barbra Streisand.

Kabbalah, founded by American Philip Berg, is also a big business. You can buy clothes, candles, make-up - even water.

But many Jewish leaders are angry that their faith is being "dumbed-down."

Here, MEL HUNTER explains why Madge loves Kabbalah and a UK rabbi tells us why the Material Girl should stick to music.

MADONNA “I THINK Kabbalah is very punk rock,” says high-profile devotee Madonna.

“It teaches you that you are responsible for everything. We don’t realise that there is a bigger system at work.

“Everything that comes to you is for a reason. And I think that’s really revolutionary.

“I’ve learnt from studying Kabbalah that if your happiness is based on people approving of everything you do, then you’re doomed to fail.”

Its teachings define almost everything that I am

Madonna

As The English Roses, her children’s book based on the principles of Kabbalah, is published, Madge admits that the sect’s teachings “define almost everything that I am.”

She adds: “It is a struggle for me because I live in a world and work in a world that is about popularity.

“Who’s better looking and who’s not, who’s richer and who’s not, who’s at the top of the list and who’s at the bottom of the list.

“So to come to this place in my life and realise that I have a responsibility to bring people together and to help people realise there is no such thing as fragmentation — but then to keep working in a world that is basically completely defined by that — is the ultimate challenge for me.”

She explains the appeal of Kabbalah and why her British husband, Guy Ritchie, has also fallen for its teachings by saying: “It’s challenging. It’s like a physics lesson — it’s the bridge between science and spirituality.

“My husband took a very long time before he would actually start saying, ‘I study Kabbalah’ because I think he was kind of embarrassed.

“He doesn’t want to subscribe to anything that’s perceived as being religious — which it’s not — and he wanted to be his own person.

“A lot of his Jewish friends were saying, ‘What are you studying that for? It’s like a kind of private sect of Judaism.’

“The bottom line is that it’s very scientific and that’s what appeals to Guy.”

And Madonna, who has donated money to the £3.5million extension to London’s Kabbalah Centre, reveals there is a very practical reason why she ships in costly bottles of Kabbalah Water (blessed by sect rabbis and said to enrich the drinker’s spirituality).

“I’m not gonna sell it but it works for me, and it has gotten rid of my husband’s verrucas!”

RABBI SCHOCHET THE whole celebrity Kabbalah cult is offensive to leading Rabbi Yitzchak Schochet.

He says: “I would not dare to dabble in music or lyrics and Madonna would be doing everyone a big favour if she stopped meddling in the teachings of Judaism in general and its mystical tradition, the Kabbalah, in particular.

“The Kabbalah is a very profound and very complex subject. If explored properly, it enhances understanding of the Bible by offering deeper insights, and explains man’s place and purpose.

“To flaunt the Kabbalah to all and sundry, without regard to its context, is an absurd perversion of everything it stands for. Kabbalah is an immensely sensitive area of Judaism and can cause chaos when it is distorted.

“The fact that people are teaching it to non-Jews shows they have no idea what it is all about. I fear it could even be dangerous in the wrong hands. It appears there is very much a cultish element to this trend.

“Madonna’s role in all this is very worrying. Her profile gives Kabbalah substance but does genuine Jews a great injustice.

“For her to write a children’s book supposedly based on the Kabbalah principles is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. A child must learn to walk before it can run — and it is the same with Judaism.

Flaunting the Kabbalah is an absurd perversion

Yitzchak Shochet

“In general Jews should not explore the complexities of Kabbalah until they are in their 40s when they have the intellectual maturity to get to grips with it.

“Everyone today is looking for something, everyone is in pursuit of that ‘high’. Some look for it in the mind games of Kabbalah, as others search in the bottom of a bottle or the pin-prick of a syringe.”

Rabbi Schochet, 38, of Mill Hill United Synagogue, North London, adds: “Quite frankly they would get a more meaningful high from drugs than from this celebrity Kabbalah. At least the drugs would be real.

“It infuriates me how naive people are taken advantage of by being urged to buy water, advertised to bring enlightenment, in the name of Kabbalah.

“It is sheer insanity for anyone to pay exorbitant prices for plain water. The Jewish faith has nothing to fear from the Kabbalah Centre, except for the smearing of its good name. To take Kabbalah and put it out there as some sort of commodity is a complete corruption of religion.”

Blyton, who is that? asks Madge

Author ... Madge with Guy and Rocco at launch By EMILY SMITH

MADONNA made a massive blunder at the launch of her children’s book yesterday by saying: “Who is Enid Blyton?”

The star, 45, was stumped when asked if she wanted to be the next Blyton. Madonna replied: “Who’s that? Is she good?”

When it was explained she was the author of the favourite Famous Five tales, Madge still appeared unsure but added: “OK, I don’t mind being compared to her then.”

Madonna had kids Lourdes, six, and Rocco, three, and hubby Guy Ritchie at the launch, a tea party in Central London. She is giving all the proceeds to the Spirituality For Kids foundation for education in Los Angeles.

The star, whose mother died when she was five, added: “I never saw myself as a writer but I never saw myself as a pop icon either.

“I am not interested in being recognised as a writer, I am only interested in getting the messages out from the book.

“I put my heart and soul into it — that’s enough isn’t it?”

Madonna was enigmatic about reports that she is pregnant.

She admitted she is seeing a doctor because she wants another child and said: “There are rumours but who knows? There is often a hint of truth in rumours.”

There's an exception(s) to every rule which proves it... need the rule to know an exception (in a context), need the exception for a rule... by definition exceptions are rare, obviously. The rules are provided (when proper) for ALL our protection...

Those exposed to Kabbalah should be over 40 years of age, and married... that's the rule...

We need rabbis... besides for the human touch, because we can only build upon tradition to know what may be legitimately next... we cannot merely circumvent it... either tradition, or what's next...

There's a seamless going on between the worlds human beings experience as material and spiritual... and what we perceive at any given time as sacred.

Some feel "nothing is sacred"... which is a dumbing down of reality, since it overlooks the inevitable converse meaning of that; which is then, "everything is sacred."

It is important to ascertain and understand what is sacred, (appropriately), at any given time. Since those things held sacred, inappropriately, at any given time, can bring unnecessary suffering. This is the true and actual job of rabbis...

When I say "rabbis" I mean those with that priestly role in any society or tradition... It's their true & actual role. And only when it is built upon, generation after generation after generation... can it at least be intelligent enough to make the necessary fine distinctions needed to be profoundly helpful.

As I understand the Kabbalah, it is mostly superstitious, cult-like, mystical claptrap that is based on numerology, demonology, mysticism, astronomy and the occult. Nothing religious about it, except it was yet another way for the rabbis to instill in their followers a belief that they were imbued with special powers and curses. Curses play a big role in these teachings. Need I say more. I don't think you can find anything in Christianity as primitive surviving past the Middle Ages.

I think the rabbi is chagrined by 'donna's interest because this text is studied by yeshiva students and some of the more backward sects of Judaism like the Hasidim and Lubavitchers. Only very select insights are shared with the outside world, only those with a universalist, new age flavor to them which is why the bankrupt world of Hollywood celebrity flocks to it, as if they've discovered yet another trendy feel-good bit of goo to latch on to. Unfortunately, the entire philosophy behind Kabbalah is rife with the kind of ignorance one is used to seeing in the tribes in Papua, New Guinea. In this day and age, there has to be a certain level of hucksterism for anyone to buy what the Kabbalah is selling. I believe Jews who really know it for what it is, are embarrassed by it. It is yet another dark side of rabbinic Judaism, the other being the Babylonian Talmud.

Amongst other diabolical experiments, the Kabbalistic rabbis made amulets with curses and blessings on them. It all sounds like mystical claptrap until you realize they are still manufactoring curses -- but they finally got the formula right with the electronic media. What are actors if not golems? Sitcoms and dramatic renderings are modern day spells thrown out against an unsuspecting world. :jester:

Maddona writing a children book is so over the top I don't know what to say. That it is based on Jewish mysticism is just more hyperbolics.

I think this is all good stuff. This is a kind of 'worse before better' pattern I can applaude.

This is one of the funnier things that has happen in a while. I happen to hear Michael Savage raising hell about this. He was calling Madonna a "slut" and other terms of endearment. There was quite a bit of oy veying going on. Well, I think that is poetic justice. They deserve Madonna, seeing how Jews help create this piece of white trash. I think she is an excellent representive of the tribe at its most depraved state.

This is the "objective" point... not that there is any such thing... but for the purposes of advancing our conversation, and presumbably civilization... as I always like to reiterate... "no one thing is true, it is all true...because although the 'absolute' exists within the relative, nonetheless, the world is in a dynamic process of becoming..."

I agree with the Rabbi. Man, I never thought I'd say that! It is unfortunate that Whites feel the need to enter into traditions that are biologically alien to them. Kabbalah is for Jews, and that should be that. I'm not surprised that celebrities would be going for this, though. They're usually at the forefront in "embracing the Other," be it "Native American" shamanism or esoteric Jewish systems.

How "politically incorrect" would it be for a celebrity such as Leonardo DiCaprio to announce that he's taking up the Celtic Ogham or the Germanic Runes? I would definitely cheer him on, for at least then he would be pursuing elements native to Indo-European Man.
Kabbalah is for Jews, and that should be that.

According to the Tanakh ("Old Testament" to Christians) Kabbalah and its occultism shouldn't even be for Jews. Practicing it would have been a capital crime in ancient Israel.

Perhaps there is such an inconsistency in the various camps of Jewish tradition. That, of course, is for the Jews themselves to work out.

Stupid Goyim! How dare they attempt to understand the sacred teachings of Judiasm. Only a holy sacred Jew can understand the teaching of Kabbalah!

The fact that Madonna is praised in the press for her 'spirituality' from 'practicing' Kabbalah betrays the vast reservoir of ignorance on this topic. To study Kabbalah, you have to be a Jew, male, married, and over 40 years of age. Madonna only fits the latter two of these categories.

Plus she's a skanky ho.

I met a holy, sacred jew lady...once... love her to this day... I ask myself, how would she have "handled" Madonna?

I'm guessing: but she may have said: "don't make Madonna a 'ho' ... that ain't a good ideal ... or idea, hun."

Unsaid: "but you're goyim... maybe that's what you Need to do?"

Even, and this is what I tend to like about Jewish women... even "messed-up jewish, ladies, women, or, if you feel like 'venting', bitches... do know Better...maybe since an older race?" I'll admit it...that's what I said. In fact the holy jew lady I met no doubt is cringing at what I've said. Sorry, honey. I still love her, to this day. They could have made her a rabbi... but perhaps, know better. I must be "young"?

I want to post something more here... you know what I mean?... we either have or we DO feel we have that aptitude...

It's human...

Wait... perhaps that's why we invented poetry... (even bad poetry, I guess.)

Look... at Grey-Backed Apes today; the sweet, dear things... we call them don't we-- Gorillas? If we had any sense of humility they Could-?-be our Gurus? They lead a relatively peaceful, idyllic life. Heavens, they're even vegetarians! ... I ask YOU... So, should we call it "Evolution?" Perhaps? But a couple million years ago our ancestors were probably something quite, akin to them...

So should we hubristically call it: "Evolution?" MAYBE.

I don't know...

Perfection ! is Imperfect In this 'naughty' world of ours... Wherein our first Parents never learned to kiss 'Never had to, in those earlier bowers When as Apes, they'd pause to smell And, well, what the heck... Eat the flowers

They're even vegetarians...

What about cattle?

I'm thinking perhaps I "ruined" it...

What no steaks-?- ... I'm out...

A million or so years later, me and Ms. Ape, started The Black Angus

Go figure... right?

'And if you get hit by a brick, you deserve it.' That woman is even stupider than I thought.

Kabbalah wasn´t 'invented' recently or by an American. It is a Jewish heresy that goes back to the 12th century. Jewish leaders who consider the Kabbalah 'their faith' are heretics, even from an orthodox Jewish viewpoint.

Anyway, Madonna has promoted so much crap that the Kabbalah is par for the course. :dung:
