There's an old video game which was made in Asia and an oriental translator has an alien saying to the earthlings "All your base are belong to us!" He probably meant "All your basis belong to us!" Afterall, the alien plans on capturing all the puny military basis of the earthlings.

But, such butchered English appears to be a thing of the past. Look at foreign websites.

[URL=http://english.aljazeera.net/HomePage]Al Jazeera[/URL] is Arab yet it looks like the people behind it know America as well as an American. It has a very western feel to it.

[URL=http://www.earthstationv.com/]Earth Station V[/URL] is a file sharing program that supposedly is based in the a Palestinian refugee camp in the occupied territory. But, the English is so smooth and the writer so in touch with the American teenage mind that it is incredible to think it originates from where it claim to come from.

There are many more examples of "before and after" but I think this reflects that English is now a universally used language and taught in all grades in most of the world's schools. Even if English is on the decline in America.
