LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- Wesley Clark, the retired general with a four-star military resume but no political experience, decided Tuesday to become the 10th Democratic presidential candidate, officials close to him said.
"He's made his decision and will announce it tomorrow in Little Rock," said Mark Fabiani, a spokesman for Clark.
Fabiani did not reveal Clark's decision, but officials close to the former general said he told his fledgling campaign team that he's in the race.
Clark's decision came as Democratic strategists from around the country gathered at his small, low-slung brick headquarters at the bank's of the Arkansas river to discuss strategy for mounting a late-starting presidential campaign.
Fabiani, who served as spokesman for former Vice President Al Gore's 2000 campaign, is part of a cadre ...............

So hereââ¬â¢s an introduction to what you need to know about General Wesley K. Clark.
Born December 23, 1944, he spent most of his childhood in Little Rock, raised by his mother Veneta and stepfather Victor Clark. Only during his twenties, he says, did Wesley discover that the father who died suddenly of a heart attack at age 51 when he was five was Jewish ââ¬â and that his own middle name Kanne was that of his father Benjamin Jacob Kanne.

(Wesleyââ¬â¢s grandfatherââ¬â¢s name had been Jacob Nemerovsky when he fled from Russian pogroms in the 1890s to Switzerland, where he obtained a false passport with the family name Kanne with which he immigrated to the United States.)
General Wesley Clark speaks fluent Russian and could become the first American President to do so. Why he has not boasted of this in campaigning for Leftist Democratic support is a mystery.
His father Benjamin was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Chicago, a Fourth Ward candidate for office, and a local Democratic activist. After his death, Wesleyââ¬â¢s mother and her son ââ¬â like Hillary Clinton ââ¬â moved from Illinois to Arkansas.
Wesley was raised a Southern Baptist, not a Jew, after that move. But after graduating first in his class from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1966 and studies in England, Wesley commanded a mechanized infantry company in Vietnam, was wounded four times but was awarded one Purple Heart, and won the Silver Star and two Bronze Stars. While in Vietnam he converted to Roman Catholicism.

Looks like another Al Gore for 2004.
Democrats just might take a flier on this guy. Solid Southern roots, centrist. It's worked for them before. It's the only thing that has. He's even got a national security background. Just might make sense.
What have they got to lose?

Wesley Clark almost started World War Three. He ordered the taking of the airport at Kosovo when it was in the hands of the Russians. He ordered NATO to take that base and the British commander REFUSED his order. THANK GOD. If it was up to Wesley Clark, WWIII would have already been a reality. We are talking about a bloodlusted demon. He is not a true General. True generals are hard to come by. What you have here is a soldier of more hate, more dying, more signatures signing away deaths of real people. You want to elect a MASS MURDERER. thats what he is.. a cold blooded MURDERER who will not be happy until he can launch World War Three and KILL US ALL

I don't disagree with any of these points or criticisms, but as a purely strategic move, I still think this makes sense for the Dems. It's time to toss a Hail Mary.
A centrist, Southern Democrat won the popular vote last time, and I sense people are tiring of Bush. Bush's Iraq fiasco would probably insulate Clark on the foreign policy issue. How can Bush critique Clark for the Balkans with Iraq on his hands?
And don't forget a Florida Senator as a possible VP.
I can't help but think that Dean is a flash-in-the-pan, who cannot take punches well. If the Dems go for him, it's Bush in a romp.

Apparently Clark, 58, revels in his Jewish roots.
He told The Jewish Week in New York, which first reported the yeshiva comment in 1999, that his ancestors were not just Jews, but members of the priestly caste of Kohens.
Clarkôs Jewish father, Benjamin Kanne, died when he was 4, but he has kept in touch with his fatherôs family since his 20s, when he rediscovered his Jewish roots. He is close to a first cousin, Barry Kanne, who heads a pager company in Georgia.
Clark shares more than sentimental memories with Jews.
He couples liberal domestic views that appeal to much of the Jewish electorate with a soldierôs sympathy for Israelôs struggle against terror.

I think W. Clark is a tool used by insider group to weaken Howard Dean. This insider group controls US ploitics. They have a road map to control Islamic countries. They need more war in Mid-east. Bush is their favorite. To make sure their road map can be carried out, they make Lieberman their favourable candidate in Democratic Party. So either Party wins, their foreign policy will remain unchanged. But American people realize the war policy is not for the interest of US. They go for Howard Dean whom opposes the war. As Howard Dean leads over other Candidates, the group worried and use such tactic to divert Dean's support. At last make their favorite win the primary.

Appearing in June on "Meet the Press" on CBS, Clarke said he agreed with President Bushôs assessment that Israel should show more restraint, a reference to the policy of targeting terrorist leaders for assassination.
"But the problem is," Clark continued, "when you have hard intelligence that youôre about to be struck, itôs the responsibility of a government to take action against that intelligence and prevent the loss of lives. Itôs what any society would expect of its leadership. So thereôs a limit to how much restraint can be shown."
Ok, Dean's got his bases covered, you guys are right. Check. Kerry, well, he's jewish. Check. Lieberman. Check. Clark. Check ... hey, the stealth attacks may slowly fade in some areas of ZOG ... :ohmy:

Contending for the Democratic presidential nomination we have one jew(leiberman), two half/crypto jews(kerry and "clark") and two white men who are domestically partnered with jewish women, one of whom has mischling offspring(kucinich and dean). This illustrates the judiazation of America's elite. One of Gore's daughters married a jew as well.

How I loathe & despise this name-changing, shape-shifting, perpetually grinning three-card monte race of shameless hustlers. I remember being told a long time ago, "These people are so friggin shameless that you CANNOT insult them. Tell a Jew you just saw a horse f**king his mother in Macy's window and he'll laugh even harder than you will.
