As if there's some competition on who 's more sensitive, who's been hurt the most in life. It's bad for the country, and I don't think the "old timers" allowed themselves to live in the past that much.

I have to agree.

The number of people who die on any average day in the US is roughly TWICE the number who were killed in the 9/11 attacks. Should we have a national day of mourning every day? Why are the lives of those killed in the 9/11 attacks more worthy of remembrance than those who die from cancer, homicide, or car accidents?

Of course the 9/11 attacks were significant due to their unprecedented nature, but they really are being overplayed -- in large part, no doubt, because the Bush administration wants to rekindle the jingoistic mood that existed in the aftermath of the attacks.

I read in the paper today where there is some 'movement' around wanting 9/11 to be made into a national holiday.

Were there national holiday's for the following?:

1983 Beruit bombing 1941 Attack on Pearl Harbor The 'Maine' being blown up in Havana harbor Massacre at the Raisan River

and many, many other smaller events that don't get mentioned much anymore. Americans being wiped out being the common theme. Over 3000 died back in 2001, and it was heartbreaking to see it happen (my first thought was "We're at war" my second thought was: "I wanna kill something"), but it is over.

Exactly... it's morbid and unseemly. Put them to rest and let them stay resting. These sniffers and whiners I see on TV trot out the dead and dust them off just long enough to cash in on another 15 minutes of fame.

It's already a holiday called "Patriot Day". Stupid name if you ask me, I could think of a better one. But yeah, last year on 9/11 Bush made it a holiday. 5 years from now they'll be having Art Van patriot day sales, and be able to save 50% or more on furniture purchases and not pay till 20(pick any random two digit number).

I would love to ask a Boobus Americanus a few questions:

  1. If America were to be attacked now or in the future, an attack perhaps even greater than what took place two years ago, would we have a day of mourning and prayer for that as well?? Would we discard everything related to 911 at once?? What if America were to be attacked on a periodic basis?? Would those days be made into holidays whenever a new year came around??

I have said this before; America is a spoiled and arrogant nation. They have believed forever, it seems, that their country is the only greatest country in the entire world and that nothing devastating could ever happen there. What I have seen in the past two years is nothing but :dung: . Yesterday at work, I came across a family decked out in red, white, and blue. A little boy wore a shirt (made by mommy, no less) which read "9-11-01 Never Forget!". I still see practically every storefront carry a large flag and some of them still have posters of the infamous Osama "dead or alive" mug shots. If not that, there are the ubiquitous placards that read "We Support...Our President...Our Troops...Our Country". It is apparent to me that freedom of thought is truly nonexistent here. Of course, that has been the case here for a very long time.

What I think is even more bizarre is that Americans think that another attack will not happen, as long as they continue their 911 worship. Americans are clueless to the fact that in Palestine, attacks happen on a regular basis but there are no days of "mourning and prayer" for Palestinians. If that were the case, everyday would be such days. If attacks from around the world appear on American television, they are most likely coming from Israel, the only other nation that is tailor-made for "compassion" when it comes to atrocities.

When European countries like France and Germany openly disagree with American foriegn policy, what happens?? Donald Rumsfeld gives an order to replace the word French with "freedom". Another U.S. lackey refers to some European countries as "chocolate makers". American officials have such utter disrespect for Europeans you can slice it with a knife. What is worse is that Americans of European descent have been socially conditioned to denounce their European forefathers and label them "different" and "strange".

I know that what happened two years ago will not be the last time America witnesses an attack in its own borders. Don't expect Americans to think for themselves and make connections. What you will see is an even greater deluge of phony "patriotism" coming from the Boobus Americanus, still oblivious to NWO and ZOG, and continuing to define the "ugly" American each day.

Thanks for your post Robbie, you summed it up about the common tone in America toward the war, though that could change very quickly. I believe Jesus will judge every voting American for this unjust war in the name of 911, not just our leaders, and before that happens I fear we will witness another tragedy like that day. If it takes place, the next terrorist act will be presented by the media as a blow against the government itself, no matter how many thousands of Americans suffer. When that happens, the war will continue but we will hate our government only a little less than our supposed enemy. In conclusion, one additional terrorist incident after that will bring about a military coup, mark my words.
