I have a question for the forum. Although I am a good browser detective, I've not been able to find out the following: When will these three men have to stand for election?
Blair of England, Aznar of Spain, and Berlusconi of Italy.
These three supported Bush and his war. If they go down hard, it should make things interesting.

The maximum length of time between elections in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and North East Ulster is five years. The last election was on the 7th of June 2001. Blair's got a lot of breathing space left.
General elections are at least every four years in Spain and the last one was in 2000(?). Iââ¬â¢m sure Madrid Burns can provide a wealth of information on the Spanish political scene.
The last few coalition Italian governments have been pretty unstable but I believe Berlusconi has a much more comfortable majority now. The maximum period between Italian general elections is probably four years and the last one was in 2001.
I really doubt there would be much local political fallout in Spain and Italy over Anglo-American military adventurism. The average man in the street cares about the economy not American or Arab body counts. Hell even Blair is probably going to get away with it.
