A quite daring piece in NRO from Rich Lowry on Schwarzenegger's voting history re Prop 187.
Democrats think they have found an early chink in the Terminator's armor: Arnold Schwarzenegger voted for Proposition 187 to deny state benefits to illegal immigrants. This is considered a scandal, demonstrating Schwarzenegger's backwardness and bigotry. .... This would bring an issue of great concern not just to Californians, but to people across the country, to the fore and put Schwarzenegger on the popular side of it. Proposition 187 needn't be a chink. It could be one of his foremost weapons.
Let's start a book on
(1) Rich's ongoing tenure as token goy at NRO, and
(2) probability of Arnie breaking cover on this one.
My money is on (1) very short and (2) very low

I'm not worried about Arnie's chances; enough Republicans will vote for him to put him head and shoulders above the other 400 candidates. I just hope he's not going to turn out as bad a governor as his rhetoric would seem to indicate.

For all the talk about the "hispanic vote" out here in CA, the fact is they make up about 17% of the vote - and that's with the illegals they are able to bus from polling place to polling place. Vote early, vote often as they say. That's the reason politicians like the muds, they don't vote in high numbers (if they do vote, they tend to vote democrat) and they roll along with whatever the govt. does, as most muds do in their own lands. That's the kind of population DC wants. Prop 187 would pass by an even larger margin now than it did then (60% - 40%) as many people who "felt" for the poor immigrants have had a change of heart. Even 30% of the hispanic voters gave 187 a "yes". Then again, we now have to consider the much higher number of hispanics working where the votes are actually counted, etc., as the gummint sees fit to hand them jobs as if they were ... black!
Wouldn't hurt Arnie a bit if he came out and bitched about illegal bean dogs - with the public that is. With the press and Latinos, well, that's another story. It'll be interesting, but I don't expect much change until most of the rest of the country gets hit with the infection. And it will. Might be Somalians or Salvadorans, but the muds are going to be right on your front lawns.

Roy batty is a fraud and doesn't know what he's talking about. Everyone should just inore him. He contends that Asians have lower SDs than Whites and promises sources but never gives them. He claims to know something one the matter of psychometrics but he doesn't know squat. I am about to expose this fraud.
There has NEVER been any evidence suggesting lower Asian standard deviations on IQ tests. In fact, the evidence seem to suggest a HIGHER standard deviation for Asians. Where does that loser get his information?! He promised sources but can't produce!
Proof of his ignorant ways. He says that the East Asian standard deviation is about 8.6 compared to the 15 for Whites and said that he has never seen evidence of a higher standard deviation, but then goes on to talk about Daniel Seligman's book. He claims that he has never seen the 12.6 figure when in fact this is the figure (actually it was 12.8)advanced by Seligmen in his book!!! He has never read Seligman's book nore any other book on the subject. The Seligman figure is from a "demographer" by the name of Daniel Vining jr. His figures are representative of a small group of Japanese individuals and are NOT accepted by the APA (American Psychological Association) . I have personally spoken with psychometricians and have asked them the question concerning the standard deviation of East Asians and I have received the answer that it is most likely that they have HIGHER, not lower standard deviations in almost all standerized tests of intelligence.
Go to the ETS (Education and Testing Services) site, look for the article Sex, Race, Ethnicity and performance on the GRE. These people designed the SAT and GRE etc tests, that correlate very highly with IQ. They have great statistics.
Average Asian verbal score 487 with a SD of 121
Average White verbal score 494 with a SD of 103
Average Asian Analytical score 580 SD 138
Average White analytical score 576 SD 127
Similar stats can be found for SATs
As you can see, Asian standard deviation are significantly higher than White's. So much so that I calculate that if there are 1000 Asians and 1000 Whites taking the verbal, five Asians would get a perfect score of 800 with only 1 White person getting a perfect score. A five times greater ratio even though the average white verbal score is slightly higher. (When adjusted for English as a first language, Asians actually have a higher average verbal) In fact the SD for Asians is exactly 9 times the difference between White men and White women!
Another site is the La Griffe Lion site. An article by the title of "National IQ and GDP" or something like that explains that the idea that Asians have a narrower distribution curve is a myth. There No evidence for it. As I have said, it is likely they have HIGHER SDs from evidence
The analytical portion is the most highly g loaded subtest of the GREs. They suggest a higher average, not lower as Batty says. This would suggest a higher level of fluid g for Asians and a higher SD. This is probably why Asians dominate so many academic fields.
