Yes I've seen this before. All they show is the typical skinhead hooligans. One even saids, "I don't like to explain things, I'm ready for action, I WANT WAR!" or something along those lines.
I believe Pierce himself wrote a critique of this special when it first came out in December of 2000.

Doze super-duper-evil Nazis! Why can't they be tolerant -- like the Jews? Why do they have to say that they are superior? Why can't they observe the Jewish attitude about humanity? You don't see Jews going around claiming to be superior, do you? Do you... hmmm?.... what? D-oh! :)

I've definitely noted a left-wing bias at the History Channel.
Last month they aired a similar "special" to this one about the Klan, which of course covered the Civil Rights era and MLK.
Not one bit of coverage was devoted to states' rights, private property rights, the 10th Amendment, or the concept of anti-federalism, despite the fact that there are a slew of articulate, worthy scholars who could have been interviewed from the Lew Rockwell and Rockford Institute camps. Instead they aired interviews in the show with Morris Dees and Julian Bond.

Yes they showed that before the Nazis in America special. I wasn't impressed with that one either. Like you said, they ignored many of the other issues. All they talked about was how besides Blacks, the KKK hated Jews and Catholic.
Julian Bond and Morris Dees all tried to paint them all as criminals even though the narrator himself said that most members of the KKK never took part in violent acts. :thd:
As for the Nazi special, the only part I found interesting was when they talked about the German-American Bund and how many German-Americans were sympathetic to the Fatherland. Although they were wrong in saying that Hitler became chancellor of germany in 1932. But beyond the first hour when they got into the 60's they all started talking about the typical sterotypical "redneck nazis".
William Pierce even critised about how they they lumped all sorts of sociopaths into the movement when they had no part of it. Particularly the Columbine shooters, who had no connections to the neo-nazis.

This post prompted me to do a Google search for "The Hitler Channel" [url=http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=the+hitler+channel]http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...+hitler+channel[/url] and it looks like A & E, The Discovery Channel, and The History Channel are all vying for that title. After this weekend's schedule I'd have to give the lead to the History Channel:
2-4pm Hitler: Tyrant of Terror
4-5pm Hitler and Stalin: Roots of Evil
8-10pm Time Machine Nazi America: A Secret History

I caught a bit of that psychobabble about Hitler and Stalin. They even mentioned Saddam, and how Saddam = Hitler = Stalin. To sum up the whole program: Stalin and Hitler were similar in that they had abusive fathers, had problems with women, studied in religuous schools, had physical defects and were self-conscious, had low self-esteem and enemy syndrom. Said Hitler had resented his bulbous Jewish nose and slanting forehead, and suspected that he was quarter-Jewish.
History as a comic book, where evil personalities and not group interests and events determine the course of history. The history of evil started with Hitler and Stalin, and culminated in "the holocaust" :dung:

ROFL, the History Channel must've forgotten to take the tape to the cutting room because they are still airing interviews with Irv Rubin on the show.
Then again, the average dolt out in TV-land probably has not a clue who Irv was.
And I see they're interviewing Morris Dees on this one, too.

History Channel goes to all-Hitler format by Pug James
Standing in front of a 40-foot-tall image of Adolf Hitler, Nickloas Davatzes, president and CEO of A&E Television Networks, announced that the History Channel will be moving to an all-Hitler format beginning in the fall of 2000.
"We honestly tried to provide a wide range of historical content," said Davatzes, semi-flanked by Abbe Raven, executive vice president and general manger of the History Channel. "But the overwhelming trend of our ratings showed that only Hitler-oriented content was drawing viewers." Both executives wore red and black armbands emblazoned with an especially Teutonic version of the History Channel's "H." The evocative symbol also adorned two dozen 80-foot-tall banners which lined the site of the press conference, the Roseland Ballroom in New York City.
After leading the gathered crowd in a rousing triple-chant of "Yay, History!" Davatzes turned the podium over to Raven, who detailed the new programming for the fall season. In addition to the usual slew of documentaries about WWII Germany, and the life, death and machinations of Adolf Hitler, the channel is developing a number of "Hitler-inspired" series. The most notable follow:
"Cooking with the Fuhrer"ââ¬âA one-hour cooking/talk show hosted by acclaimed German chef and Third Reich historian Helmut Niederlander. Each episode will feature the re-creation of a meal that would have been served to Hitler, peppered with interesting anecdotes about his dietary and social habits.
"Hitler's Top 10 Funky-Fresh Videos"ââ¬âAimed at the 18-24 set, the show will feature a beautiful hostess and a hilarious, wisecracking Hitler puppet. Those videos meeting the puppet's approval will be played "for 1000 years," while those deemed inferior will immediately be thrown into an on-set, fully functional blast furnace.
"Round Table with Marge Schott"ââ¬âA political discussion group hosted by the controversial Cincinnati Reds owner. Although not directly Hitler-related, Schott has pledged to provide views on contemporary social issues that would be consistent with Hitler's.
Other original programming includes a madcap sitcom ("Keeping Up with the Himmlers"), a children's show ("Adolf Babies"), a travel show ("March On Paris... and Beyond") and a game show ("Final Solution Jeopardy!"). Groundwork is also being laid for an evening soap opera ("Crystal Nights") extrapolated from the trials and tribulations of Hitler and his lover, Eva Braun, and set in modern-day America.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), while not totally condemning A&E's move, sounded a cautionary note: "While we do not feel it is appropriate to lionize a barbaric man who was the catalyst for the greatest amount of death, destruction and human misery in the history of civilization, I must confess that I only watch the channel when [Hitler] is on," said ADL National Chairman Howard P. Berkowitz.. "As long as the f*cker still dies at the end, I can deal."

TV chiefs have announced plans for a new channel, devoted entirely to programmes about Hitler and the Nazis.
Former Channel Five director Normandie Landing explained: "If thereââ¬â¢s one thing British television needs its more programmes on the Second World War. I really donââ¬â¢t think people know enough about it."
Landing who, as director of Second World War programmes, commissioned such classic documentaries as Hitler and His Pets, Public Transport and the Nazis, and The Brits Who Might Have Fought for Hitler If They Hadnââ¬â¢t Thought Better Of It added: **"It was so frustrating only being able to show one Nazi programme each night. Now Führer TV will show programmes about the Nazis 24 hours a day.
"We must make it clear that Hitler really wasnââ¬â¢t very nice. This fact is too little known."** As well as historical documentaries, lurid and excitable accounts of mass slaughter and war films, the channel will also break new ground by showing programmes made during the Third Reich era.
Daytime programming head Richard L. Du Chez explained: "We have cookery and quiz shows from the Nazi era. They will give viewers a fascinating new insight into life under the Third Reich. They should not be seen as propaganda, but great entertainment."
He adds that, should these programmes prove popular, the channel may commission its own Nazi-style programmes. "Goebbels would have loved the Weakest Link and Pop Idol," he explained. Yes, I watched the first several minutes of the anti-german show, right after laughing through the Christian one. The SECRET History of the Ku Klux Klan.
You know that Jews manage the content on the History Channel, and I have NEVER seen an instance where communist or negroes or illegal aliens where properly titled as the criminals that are the reason for groups like the Ku Klux Klan to exist.
Also, it seems the part about Jews spitting on the cross and blasphemy against Christ were left on the cutting room floor.
How one sided can a commercial advertiser supported program be?
Oh, yes. The Evil Nazi's.....
