When pondering upon how God was created, it is a possibility that an ancient civilization on another planet created Jesus Christ, or as is known in Transhumanist circles, the Singularity. This God then appeared on Earth and offered Heaven to those that deserved it.

Hard to put a finger on some of the stuff that gets posted here. I guess when a site unashamedly proclaims historic, orthodox Christianity, it is like a bright neon light attracting every strange heathen, pagan and anti-Christ fruitcake in the cyber world.

Hello FB,

I doubt that TD is suggesting that you leave as he lets non Christians express themselves and as long the debates stay civil that seems like the way to go. I think that TD is secure enough about his faith that he doesn't feel threatened by civil, reasoned objections to what he professes and I find him to be quite the gentlemen so I lways listen to what he says even if I don't agree with him. The book in question seems, based upon reviews, typical demented garbage that only someone like Ares would take seriously.

This IS actually the whole concept of theology: we are debating which superstition is more valid. Some believe that there is a magical spook floating around in outerspace by the name of Jesus Christ, and he will place us in a magical invisible city called Heaven, again floating up in outerspace, where our magical souls will lie for eternity.

Now, surely one does not expect me to completely agree with the above hypothesis without asking for some tangible proof. And as part of this, I need to know, Who the heck created God? If everything needs a creator, then God to needs a creator. The link I posted gives one hypothesis of how a deity could have been created.

The truth is, "strange fruitcakes" can be used to describe people who believe in spooks in the sky. Of course, I never use such insulting words, but since someone else brought it up, well then. . .

Frank Tipler's book is good brain food if you have some physics. His error is in assuming the current trend will last forever, allowing computer science to create a "God" as a sort of punctuation instead of a First Cause. Tipler also errs in assuming Einstein was right. As far as it goes it's a fun beach read if you ignore the fact that it's impossible. Excellent refresher for quantum buffs.

You are right, I was just engaging in a psychological experiment of Ad Hominem to see how regular name callers/insulters would react. Neo-Nietzsche's reaction greatly pleased me. Triskelion's reaction was also interesting, he seemed to have experienced anger and seemed offended, and perhaps he even experienced emotional hurt. But, my experiment is over, and anyway, I have a real strong aversion to engaging in "battles of wits"; it serves no practical purpose for me and distroys the whole process of rational/objective debate.
