In the first attempt, two Russian assassins posing as FBI agents tried to kill Wayne ââ¬â born Marion Morrison on May 26, 1907 ââ¬â in his office at Warner Brothers studios in Hollywood.
But the plot was uncovered and the would-be killers captured, the book says, citing several sources including director Orson Welles. ...
"That was a decision of Stalin during his last five mad years. When Stalin died I rescinded that order," the book quotes Krushchev as telling Wayne during a private meeting in 1958. ...
Wayne survived these attempts and another by a sniper during a trip to visit American troops in Vietnam in 1966.

Was Buster Keaton a Jew? I hope not.
I doubt it - "Keaton" was his real name, and his mother's maiden name was "Cutler." That reminds me of a Harold Lloyd short I saw in film class (Lloyd was the guy with the boater and big glasses. In the film, he goes to a pawnshop where the owner is a Jew right out of Der Sturmer: greasy sidelocks, hooked nose, wringing his hands in anticipation of the deal he was getting. Lloyd did a bit of business where he wrung his hands in unconscious imitation of the Jew. I nearly broke a bloodvessel stifling my laughter.
