I will just say I THINK THIS IS BULLSHIT. and leave it at that.
Millen fined ($200,000) for not interviewing minority candidates
DETROIT -- Detroit Lions president Matt Millen was fined $200,000 by the NFL on Friday for not interviewing any minority candidates before hiring coach Steve Mariucci.
Commissioner Paul Tagliabue sent a letter to Millen informing him of the fine.
After coach Marty Mornhinweg was fired by the Lions in January, Mariucci was the only person interviewed for the job. The team said five minority candidates turned down interviews because it appeared inevitable Mariucci would be hired.
"While certain of the difficulties that you encountered in seeking to schedule interviews with minority candidates were beyond your control, you did not take sufficient steps to satisfy the commitment that you had made,'' Tagliabue wrote.

are you f*cking kidding me...
how bout we flip that around and say that whites are underrepresnted as players compared to their numbers in society? hmmm I bet you will say because the blacks that are there are superior athletes right? Well... Basically if you say that, then you are saying that qualifications should be all that matters and percentages shouldnt mean ANYTHING (representation). And if thats the case, it should be the same for BOTH sides.
If you want to go by the numbers, then lets ALWAYS go by the numbers... Black players shouldnt equal more than 13% for black, no less than 70% for white, 12% for hispanic, throw in some Asians and Indians and we will be all set! See how f*cking rediculous that is? "Representation" my ass. Best man for the job gets it. And thats the owners decision. Period!
But to have blacks OVERREPRESENTED as players and then suggest that the coaching staffs should reflect this overrepresentation is f*cking retarded.
You cant use the numbers on both sides of the argument only when they benefit one side. Well... i take that back, they can and they do JUST that.

Let the negroes have their NFL. Come on, White man. Sell off those season tickets. Cancel that special sports package on your cable TV. Stop buying your sons all of those jerseys... the negroes want their sports so badly, let's give it to them.
