Wonder if anyone knows what's up with this. "The Skunk" has always been a lightning rod of criticism and a bellweather of LF. I've never heard of an outright exception to JD's "no banning" policy before.

Since I'm not a real LF heavy and am out of the LF loop these days I'm not sure what's up, but it appears something is going on. Wonder if if John Deere might be feeling some pressure - coming in connection with the forum shutdown it's sure odd.

Well, that is news. As a sorta-pal to Skunk, I admit that I do not yet know. Maybe Skunk will tell me.

JDeere may indeed be feeling pressure from The Shiny People. Lots of Shiny People have complained about LF allowing crit [truth] about The Special Sneaky People. :)

I don't spend as much time on LF anymore, but it does appear that since JD returned a few weeks ago, skunk's fame has dropped about 30 points, and the former cellar dwellers like NewFork and Daisy, have attained positive fame. Coupled with the recent outage caused by a sudden change of the hosting company, it does look suspicious.

By not giving proper attribution for copyrighted material, LibertyForum leaves itself open to legal action. Skunk has been warned countless times about this - if his posts are deleted, he really has noone to blame except himself.

That's really a very grey area, but a common avenue used to punish internet dissenters (re the WP/LAT suit vs. FR).

Skunk is just a lighting rod for everything going on at LF. Some criticism he undoubtedly brings on himself by his provocative style, but more of it is his success vis a vis the less talented anti-semites. He was the center of the ratings controversy, and now this.

I don't think it is any secret that John Deere doesn't care for the skunk, but as long as skunkie stays within the rules, I think JD is principled enough not to ban him. However I do think that JD is irked that skunk managed a +50 rating; he would prefer skunkie to remain under the default radar at -1. As a matter of fact, I did notice that one of the first actions JD took upon his return was to suspend the rating priviledges of a member, ostensibly for "inappropiate uprating". Ten to one the person sanctioned was the one responsible for uprating skunkie.

The SkunkMan is a beacon of truth in a storm of Jews, cholos and buh-boolies. Some people don't like that. :)

I don't know why The_Skunk does not abide by the very clear and easy-to-follow rules and guidelines regarding copyrighted material. In my opinion he's brining the negative attention upon himself and leaving Liberty Forum up for legal action due to his inconsideracy and irresponsibility... he should just stop being so lazy... I think he doesn't have anyone to blame but himself for this warning.

However I must admit that I have been very disturbed to see extremely offensive persons like NewFork and Daisy11 get any positive ratings whatsoever at Liberty Forum.

Apparently there is a critical mass of Israel-Firsters over there now to keep each others' ratings boosted.

No proof, but personally I believe "Daisy11" isn't the same foul-mouthed hothead who used to post under that account....probably passed it on to someone else in the ADL boiler room. Seeing how "penacite" (FR's notorious "veronica") hasn't posted at LF in awhile, I'd wager it's her.

Penacite's account actually is deactivated. I have difficulty believing that person(s) would go away so suddenly. Daisy11 sounds like as good an explanation as any.

The change from skunk at 40-50 and dizzyforks at -10 -- -20 was too sudden and roughly coincided with JD's return. Rating dynamics changes are usually gradual. Doesn't necessarily mean that JD or moderators go and uprate or downrate posters themselves, although that's possible, but they can certainly selectively enforce the rules or look the other way.

The copyright is nonsense

I will type something and throw in a paragraph from an published article - I then ad links at bottom (one article had the wrong link)

I published a Alabama court document and a moderator wanted a source - the doc was the source like publishing Gettysberg address

Out of 7000 posts - It's possible to miss a link

Because of my outrageous style

I want links - No source I could use could be worst than me - Links verify what I say

The 'Too lazy to follow rules'

I research between 5 and 10 articles before I post - I find the pictures - then host them - then format the articles. For me to include a source is a simple 'cut and paste' - 30 seconds out of the 2 hrs I spend on a good post

THE CRUX OF IT ALL ---

People tend to read short articles with pictures and music - and my message is not to favorable to my jewish bretheran

This treatment of The_Skunk is bullshit.

I think there are two possibilities -- JD and his lackeys are responsible for the downratings themselves, or they are looking the other way at what is obviously an orchestrated campaign to send Skunk back to the cellar.

Maybe, but I wouldn't put it passed them to use it as an excuse to censor you. Keep your nose clean skunk, your still my hero and I would hate to lose your entertaining and informative posts over there. I credit you with opening up LibertyForum; prior to you, people were doing a pc routine of zionist this and zionist that, with beowolf chastising them for being anti-semites. You managed to break through the pc stranglehold in your clever and uniquely skunk way. You're my hero skunk, and quite possibly a genious in the area of jewology.

Yes I doubt anyone would complain about Skunky's posts if he just lifted them from the ADL's web page. People do that all the time without attribution, and I've never heard anyone complain.

I would probably one of the last people in the world to claim something I didn't write.

After they started on me - i found 5 instances of people not linking to a quote.

I gotta think that people will start shifting to this forum eventally. Today I posted 3 maps on 9/11 airbases and some moderator wants sources -

Is the jet a real jet ?

Is the jet from Oceana ?

Is Oceana is Norfold ?

Is Norfolk in Virginia ?

Why is the background out of focus ?

Sorry if you took my comments the wrong way. I do only know what I've skimmed over about the situation. So it's not an issue with abiding by the rules regarding re-posting copyrighted material? Interesting.

I do find the sudden jump in ratings strange. The way I understand it is, this ratings system cannot be manipulated by newbies - anyone in the lower 20% of membership cannot rate posts. Therefore, the ratings must have been altered by those in the higher 80% membership range. Whether or not this is because some posters suddenly "graduated" to the 80% and instantly began a campaign of manipulation of the ratings or because established members did some such similar thing, is a matter of speculation.

I am really taken aback at the sudden jump in ratings of NewFork and Daisy11 though. As Centinel observed, this Daisy11 individual does act strange. I don't particularly lean toward thinking this is another person, though, more like evidence of a deeply conflicted personality.

Personally from what I've seen I doubt the more established members would act in such a manner... They seem to place a high value on free speech, even that with which they disagree, so long as it is not simply mindless flaming.

I once checked Daisy11's posting history and found posts for 36 consecutive hours. "She" is really "they."

36 consecutive hours? You're right, it's a "they" if that is the case.
