Why should it "take weeks" to get to the bottom of this?

Driver may have been fleeing earlier accident Both Russell Weller's vehicle and a Mercedes struck near the farmers market have been impounded for examination, police say. By TIM MOLLOY The Associated Press
LOS ANGELES ââ¬â Police are investigating the possibility that the driver who plowed through Santa Monica's farmers market Wednesday was speeding from the scene of a collision with another car before crashing through the market, killing 10 people and injuring dozens of others.
Investigators have not determined whether Russell Weller, 86, hit the car, a Mercedes, California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall said today. But he said they are looking into the possibility that he hit it after leaving a post office and sped less than a block west toward the market.
"We're trying to do two things: determine first of all that he hit the Mercedes, and two, what his motivation was for leaving if he did hit it," Marshall said. "He could have been confused, he could have been scared and tried to get away; we just don't know at this point."
Both Weller's vehicle and the Mercedes have been impounded and are being examined, Marshall said.
Weller's attorney, Jim Bianco, released a statement Wednesday saying the farmers market crash was an accident. He and another attorney for Weller did not return calls for comment today.
Police have said Weller told them he didn't realize Wednesday until too late that a street crammed with pedestrians and produce was closed for Santa Monica's popular twice-a-week farmers market. They said Weller believes he might have hit the gas instead of the brake as he tried to stop.
Marshall said the CHP was working with Santa Monica authorities on the investigation. He said it could take weeks. **
It is impossible -- for me, at any rate -- to avoid connecting this terrible event with the use that has immediately been made of it by the operational ZOG spin-media. The LATimes today ran one of those juicy "old folks are a threat to society" follow-ups: "Crash Adds Urgency, Emotion to Debate Over Elderly Drivers". :dung: Who drives less carefully, all told -- the youth? or 86 yr old Christian geezers (like me)? Well, for this article, some genius at the LALATimes assembled a panel of no fewer than 53 (count 'em) "Contributing signatories":
Contributing to the coverage of the Santa Monica crash were Times staff writers Hector Becerra, Sharon Bernstein, Daren Briscoe, Miguel Bustillo, Stephanie Chavez, Jia-Rui Chong, Rich Connell, Tina Daunt, Cara Mia DiMassa, Li Fellers, Robin Fields, Kathleen Flynn, Sue Fox, Jessica Garrison, Megan Garvey, Scott Glover, Martha Groves, Erika Hayasaki, Daniel Hernandez, Allison Hoffman, Steve Hymon, Carl Ingram, Akilah Johnson, Michael Krikorian, Matt Lait, Mitchell Landsberg, Nita Lelyveld, Caitlin Liu, Robert J. Lopez, Eric Malnic, Scott Martelle, Joe Mathews, Jennifer Mena, Geoffrey Mohan, Monte Morin, Jennifer Oldham, Charles Ornstein, David Pierson, Paul Pringle, Kenneth Reich, Polly Ross, Joel Rubin, Doug Smith, Larry B. Stammer, Connie Stewart, Jocelyn Y. Stewart, Julie Tamaki, Wendy Thermos, Tracy Weber, Henry Weinstein, Kenneth R. Weiss, Nancy Wride and Nora Zamichow.
I don't know about anybody else, but I find this remarkable. Here, in total avoidance of the alternative that it was, in fact, a deliberate, intentional, if demented act (if Weller could remember hitting the brake, he was conscious of what happened, so there are those who know, besides him, now -- did de debbil grab dat ol' steering wheel? Instead of reading actual interviews of those on the scene, which could establish how he could have barrelled into that Farmers market at speeds estimated at up to 80 mph, and perpetrate unadulterated carnage, without intending to, somebody gets the multicult together to go after the elderly's drivers license.
And wouldn't you just know it. Its the automobile, Mr. Ford's legacy, that gets used as weapon of the soul-raped white Christian old man. After all, every commercial break obliges the One Eyed one to bring more georgeous babes ready to screw "you*, again. And again. Get one or two to go off like that...hey! ... kill several political birds with one stone. Cull the herd. Holocaust-on-the-cheap.
I think Mr. Weller could have thought he was plowing into a bunch of Jews, or 60's war protestors dressed up like Jews (or vice versa), driven beserk by the reversed, soul-raping "patriotic" cant. Carl Jung writes that it happened in Hitler's Germany. "Beserkers" would be so filled with patriotic Nazi pride they would jump up on beer hall tables and start singing, others joining in.
Thus, it could be both his patriotic zeal driven to madness, AND some silent second party, helping arrange the up-coming visit to this continent by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Seems like these grotesque geo-political shot-gun nuptual conjugal visits of his always trigger off a terror-button. Attention of America is turned inward, toward the left coast, for a while. I think the pathetic old fellow's chains were yanked, like McVeigh' s were, for Waco.

With all due respect, there does seem to be a pattern of older drivers and serious accidents. But, I don't know what the stats say.

... Thus, it could be both his patriotic zeal driven to madness, AND some silent second party,...
or it could just be that he slammed his foot on the GAS thinking it was the brake and kept pushing it down harder and harder -- so confused and horrified by what he was doing that he couldn't process where his foot ACTUALLY was.
'fraid lots of you old geezers have slower physical and mental reflexes... just like lots of younger geezers!
Getting old is NOT for sissies!
