Now is the time to drop the notion that the biggest problem facing the black community is racism. Nearly 150 years after the end of slavery, nearly fifty years after the dawn of the civil rights movement, and many years after welfare and affirmative action, it is time for the black community to drop their slave mentality.
*Now is the time to admit what we've been trying to hide for decades-that the greatest problem facing the black community is the black community and our stubborn adherence to race as an excuse for failure. *
I'm reminded of a young man-whom I'll call Jimmy-that I once counseled. Though bright and talented, Jimmy was filled with rage. His father had abandoned his mom and two brothers when he was a baby. He resented both his parents and expressed this rage towards whites, whom his black peers had taught him were to blame for his troubles. Jimmy refused to try hard at low-paying jobs and never moved forward. He repeated the usual black mantra of blaming the white "devils" for his problems. I asked him if he knew any white people personally, to which he said "no."
Think about this for a second: A young man, so convinced that racism is going to hold him back that he gives up before he even starts. And all this having never even met a white person before!
This is typical in the black community. Blacks today hate whites, Hispanics, Jews, black conservatives, and America. Most blacks are convinced that despite the Northern victory in the Civil War, the civil rights movement, welfare and affirmative action, racism still severely hampers their lives and that white America is out to get them. Black rage is rampant in this country, and unfortunately, is generally accepted as the appropriate attitude for blacks to have. It is such that blacks feel justified in remaining angry, lazy, and dependent.
It wasn't always this way. I clearly remember growing up on a plantation in Alabama. As a boy I was raised by my grandparents, who were relegated to picking cotton for a living. When planting and harvesting times came I had to stop my schooling to wake up at six o'clock in the morning to help in the fields. I'd pick till noon, break for an hour, then continue in the sweltering heat until sunset. It was hard work for me and I know it was harder work for my grandparents who had been doing this their whole lives. Yet I never once heard either of my grandparents blame their workload on racism.
But today, blacks blame white America for everything and without a reason. Black Americans today are more racist than whites are or ever have been. Whites have nothing to do with their present handicap.
It is blacks who are to blame for handicapping themselves, by falling into the trap of excuse mongering, claiming their race is a crippling barrier. If blacks do not abandon this mentality and their rage for white America and accept responsibility for their own failures, they will forever remain in hell.
But there is hope. I am happy to say that any black enraged at white America can quickly turn his life around. If blacks can adopt what I call "Pro-American Individualism," they can rise up from failure to success.
America is the land of freedom and opportunity that gives greater chance of social and economic advancement than anywhere else in the world. If blacks were to adopt the ideals of success-hard work, saving of money, sustained effort, self-restraint-and maintain mental health by adopting love as the controlling attitude in their lives rather than resentment and rage, they would do well. In America, individuals control their own destiny-those who want to succeed will succeed and those who want to pity themselves will fail.
Going back to Jimmy's story, I am glad to end this on a happy note. A few months after first talking with Jimmy, I counseled with him again. When I asked him how he felt about white people, he said he was still suspicious of them, but he was now ready to make judgments on whites as individuals, rather than only as a group. Though not totally over his rage, I was glad to see that Jimmy was overcoming his anger and that in time, if he continued in this way, he would be able to completely abandon his victim-hood mentality and be able to rise above his self-imposed barriers to succeed.

Yeah, but when making appearances, most blacks seem to assail Peterson as an Uncle Tom. Most of his target audience doesn't listen or care.

I think Whites are the intended audience. Same for Sowell, Liz Wright, Walter Williams. Face it- who really knows if they understand or believe this 'crazy white sh*t' that is Republicanism?
Could be that they just found a good hustle. :huh:

Whites are the intended audience in print, but at appearances, Peterson catches Hell. Sure, he may be scamming, but he's had to hightail it a few times when giving a speech in L.A.

Seriously, I don't see the Walter Williams style 'take responsibity for yourself' line as anything other than sincere. Remember the Chris Rock 'I don't like n*ggers' stuff from a few years ago? The affirmative action crowd despised it, because it undermines their power which is built on victimology. But he was pro-Black and had a Black middle class audience.

The Reverend sure does put a lot of ââ¬Ëifsââ¬â¢ in that article. Does the counseled Jimmy who now judges Whites individually so he can succeed overlook all the programs made by Whites for Blacks to help him achieve success? No, the Reverend counseled him as such ââ¬Â¦
Jimmy: I canââ¬â¢t get ahead because Whitey is keeping me down. Reverend: You fool (slaps jimmy in the back of the head) Whitey has rolled out the red carpet for us. Jimmy: (a vacuous stare and he scratches his head) Reverend: The school system has been downgraded and youââ¬â¢re not expected to get Aââ¬â¢s or Bââ¬â¢s and sometimes you can pass without even knowing how to read. Getting into college is a breeze because they give you minority status above those white kids and you can take their place. The best part is the grade level expectations of you carry through into college. Jimmy: I canââ¬â¢t afford no college and neither can my momma. Reverend: Oh, donââ¬â¢t worry about that son the white government will give you money to pay your way through. When you get out, companies and the government will hire you just because youââ¬â¢re black and welcome you with open arms above those white guys. To make matters even better you can be the worst employee ever and they wonââ¬â¢t fire you because theyââ¬â¢ll worry too much about being sued as racists. Jimmy: This is starting to sound pretty good. Reverend: Oh it gets better. While in college or out you find some ho and gets her pregnant then whitey will give her money to raise the baby and for a place to stay and even feed them, you donââ¬â¢t have to do a thing in fact you can do that over and over. Jimmy: Hey Iââ¬â¢m starting to like Whitey! Reverend: It gets better, if you donââ¬â¢t want to work then the same deal the ho gets you gets. How about that? Jimmy: You know Whitey isnââ¬â¢t all that bad. Reverend: If you decide to work, then getting a loan as a Black man is as easy as one to three because youââ¬â¢re Black my man. Jimmy: (Covers his mouth with one hand as to stifle an outburst of laughter, bends over slightly to slap some skin with the reverend) I need to gets some of this dawg! Reverend: Sho nuff! Now just remember to raise a ruckus whenever or wherever you donââ¬â¢t get your way by claiming to sue for racism and it will all fall into your lap. Got it? Jimmy: (Laughs uncontrollably) We gotz ââ¬Ëem by the balls donââ¬â¢t we? Reverend: You got it. Do you know why there are so many black reverends? Jimmy: No?! Reverend: Because the church doesnââ¬â¢t pay taxes to the man. Jimmy: No sh*t? Reverend: You got it, now go out there and get your share of the pie bro.

Hey this 'brother' ain't all that bad, IMO. Too bad .01% of blacks listen to a guy like Peterson. It's only a matter of time until the Darkies completely explode, instigated by the jewish media and entertainment monpolies, acting on their vicious hatred and start killing Whites a la South Africa/Zimbabwe....and thereby kicking off Civil War II.

More Blacks need to be made aware of all the gubbiment goodies--like affirmative action, quotas, etc, etc.--that are at their disposal.
I'd say for the amount of money, time, and effort it takes to create one successful, incompetent to semi-competent Black, (like say, a doctor), you could have at least 10 successful, competent Whites. Blacks are robbing you--and your children--of your future, White man.

I heard the good Reverend Peterson on Hannity last night driving home. He was railing on illegals taking jobs away from the black community in L.A.
I can certainly find some common ground there.

Few people like to take personal responsibility and blame for their own problems. That is hardly a trait that is unique to blacks. It is always easier to blame someone else.. anyone else than it is to stand up and change one's own ways.
Don't misunderstand... Of course plaing the Blame Game does seem to be a favorite black pastime. Some of the "theories" they come up with would be funny if they didn't actually believe them.

In 2 recent issues of Occidental Quarterly, Professor Kevin MacDonald has studied what makes the Europeans different. He says that the most important difference is the focus of evolutionary struggle.
In the ice age north, it was the environment. Isolated groups of people struggled primarily for survival against non-human challenges.
In the rest of the world, while harsh environments existed and created challenges, there was less isolation of human tribes and thus inter-group and inter-personal struggle was always an important factor.
This prompted me to think that perhaps in the European survival struggle self-doubt, self-questioning and self-blame were more necessary than in other parts of the world, where the focus of blame could be logically placed outside of self and tribe (for example, THEY took our water hole, and the solution is for US to get it back, etc.). In the North, when some hunter failed to make the kill, there was little to be gained and much lost by placing the blame on others. If one was to live, one had to look to improving techniques, and this mean self-criticism.

Because blacks have been conditioned to see their world view through the eyes of "racism", any black who dares to have another viewpoint will be ostracized by his own kind, and shunned by the press. Yet, I think it is good that a black male writes articles like this. When we see articles pop up from time-to-time about the feminization of men, and the eradication of masculinity, who writes almost all of these articles?? Females. A White male would never write an article like that for the fear of being called "misogynist", so like the good little puppy dog he is, goes on the paper while the btch does the dirty work for him (btch as in distaff dog, for anyone who didn't know the other meaning of it).
If Whites are the targeted audience for Black conservatism, it's the black's loss. But maybe that was meant to be, considering the almost entirely White contigent of supporters for Alan Keyes' presidental campaign a few years ago.

Agreed. Worse is better.
Lawrence Auster wrote a fine article in The Occidental Quarterly, Spring 2003 release. Titled Racial Differences in Intelligence:The Evolution of One Person's View'. Heres a meaty clip from page 71:
Even more alarming, the more blacks advance, the more-not-less-they resent Whites. The more America does to overcome its "racism", the more "racist" America appears. The reason for this is built into the dynamics of human nature. Very simply, the more equal blacks become with Whites, the more unbearable and unjust the remaining differences. Thus what started as a demand for basic civil rights mutated into a demand to overturn the whole society, along with its traditions and norms, its standards and laws, its history and heros, since in all these things blacks are still not "equal".
And Rumblestrip, I agree with your post. This is something our White race needs to come to grips with. Yes, we can trace some of our biggest failures to cohesive non-white races but we've got to start working on correcting that. This is not to say that we should forgive or forget. It is important to highlight the enemies in and out of our ranks and show in plain truth the tricks they employ to divide us. Instead of running away (White Flight) or giving in to the multi-cult/diveristy clowns(White on White racism aka Anti-Racism).
