Actually rban, not so. I work with five Indian Hindus, decent fellows all. Two speak Tamil, two speak Gujarati, one speaks Hindi. English is their common language.

Ol' Gates hating jew Ellison is just another corp. head looking to save money at the expense of Americans. Where's the surprise? Worse is better, and things like this make it worse here. The greed is one of the elements driving the "US" toward a collapse.

Great quote as always TD! :cowboy:

I usually hate telling people that because there is a filthy Islamic cesspool of a shthole called Bangadesh, whose subhuman citizens also speak Bengali. Most Bengali speaking people in the UK are in fact from Bangladesh, and boy, do I ever despise them!
The only good thing about Bangladesh is that they starve to death and enjoy frequent devastating floods which sweep thousands out to sea every monsoon season. God's will can be beautiful at times. **
Interesting bio rban. That level of venom can't be faked. That's 'diversity' for you. Isn't West Bengal trying to fence off the border to keep out illegals? Sounds like a good idea. Maybe it'll catch on.

I would pose as an upper class Brit, and start posting ... not only did no one believe that I was British.
Well I smelt a rat right away
Fasten your seatbelts, folks...it'll be quite a ride.
Will that be in the Hindustani Ambassador or the groovy new Tata thingy?

Whether or not I would even be allowed to post as a Hindu; Whether or not anyone would listen or play attention to me or assign credibility;
Then I realized something strange....not only did no one believe that I was British, but they all thought I was a Jew. How strange indeed.....I pretend to be a limey to avoid being accused of being a Hindu, and instead they all think I'm a Jew! And on top of that, Jews seemd to be disliked more than Hindus on the forum! NOW THERE'S AN ASTUTE OBSERVATION THAT ONLY A GENIUS WOULD BE CAPABLE OF MAKING ...
As Roy Batty says, the cleanup will be messy, but necessary. I intend to be one of the ruling members of Hindu ruled India and America. Fasten your seatbelts, folks...it'll be quite a ride. The Hindus can't even run India
All of rban's rants aside, I did figure out, rather quickly, that if he was indeed involved in IT, it was in sales, if anything. Rban seemed to be rather shocked when I posted my salesman assumption on SF, but he did admit he worked in sales. It was some goofs on technical info, and wording of the "area" that he said he worked in that tipped me off.
Yeah, it's going to be messy. With more and more people finding out how few Indians are actually qualified to do the work they are being hired for, things are going to progress to the bottom at an even more rapid pace. (http://www.zazona.com/ShameH1B/ - read the "Horror Stories", they're fascinating, especially the stories about the Indians learning on the job, lying in school, fabricating their CV's - pretty much what all of have seen on those not rare occasions when a "genius" Indian shows up and we find out he ... isn't ... even ... aware of, or possessing the most basic skills required: **I am a manager in a high tech company (I can't disclose which one, but we are a mid size company of ~2000 people). Previously I worked for a large European engineering company (10k+ people). As a manager, I personally saw these "highly skilled" critical H1Bs come and go. To date, I have seen NONE that possess critical skills. Virtually all have been new college graduates with NO special skills. We would hire them becasue they were cheap and put them to work doing the simple grind work like running the huge number of simulations required to verify a design. NONE were able to do creative design on their own, they were simply operators of engineering tools that have been simplified over the years to allow UNSKILLED people to operate them easily. In most cases, during the boom years, these H1Bs would bounce around since sponsorship was easy to obtain and they were able to get salary increases. This is not the case anymore.
At my present company, we are in the process of shipping as many US jobs to South East Asia. We employ a significant number of H1Bs. We can't apply for Green Cards for them because of recent layoffs, but the company has a plan to make it look like we are "hiring" in the areas the H1Bs are employed so we can "claim" no qualified US citizen can be found. This is not speculation on my part, but the result of a meeting I attended with our immigration lawyers... Name and address with held because of retalliation. ** http://www.zazona.com/ShameH1B/Horror.htm
The e-mails from Indians admitting that the horror stories are true are an interesting read also.
The material does go a long way toward explaining the "$60k a year..." remark by rban in another thread that Madrussian and myself found amusing.
There is also a good read from an accountant which falls in line with the stories of Indians and other cheap labor foreigners being hired in other areas besides IT (http://www.zazona.com/ShameH1B/Horror.htm). Their little "Indian Mafia" (and Chinese frauds, are also on the same bandwagon) making sure unqualified/underqualified Indians get research grants, etc., aided by a US govt. that sees any non-white as the right color for the money or the job. Anyway, on to some of the accountant's observations:
**I recently was employed with the intention on my and my employers behalf of becoming a permanent accountant. The reality was that I was used to create accounting documents, schedules, reports, etc. which the Indian boss could not.ÃÂ
Due to his lack of english communication skills, I created all descriptive writings and analyses. He was unable to even construct a simple sentence. I believe his communication skills level to be that of an american elementary school child.ÃÂ
All oral conversations (there was no writing, e-mail, memos) had to be repeated and clarified. When I mentioned this problem to his supervisor, I was told that "we are easy going".ÃÂ
I wondered how he could be a department head and fiscal officer without such skills and an accounting degree?ÃÂ He relied too heavily on memorization (how typically Asian, eh?), the help of others outside and within the office, and rudely spoke hindi on the phone and to other Indians in the office.ÃÂ
How could he have passed the written test given by this employer? Also, he showed me a photograph of his three brothers now in U.S. I never have seen four brothers who look so unlike each other... ** <_<

Rban,
Now that you've given OD some of your bio, were you born here in the states, Canada or Europe?
If so, I can't remember from my previous postings with you, did you graduate from college in the US or India?
My professor was born in India and received his BS in India, but a second BS and PhD in US. He's a brillant man. Top of his field and always there for the student.
