The Italian leader triggered uproar in the European Parliament when he suggested that Martin Schulz, a heckling German MEP who had criticised him, would be perfectly cast as a Nazi concentration camp guard in a forthcoming film.
**"I know that in Italy, there is a man producing a film on Nazi concentration camps - I shall put you forward for the part of guard"
Silvio Berlusconi**

I like it how Sivlio shakes the parliament. The MPs are such arrogant pricks. And the ones in the European Parliament even more so. It is time that someone makes fun of these self rightous bastards. Go Silvio, go!

The Green MEPs mounted a 'demonstration' (ie mindless heckling) before Berlusconi spoke. There's no price to be paid for that though.
A Forza Italia MP on the news said the 'Nazi' jibe was an allusion to the Kommandant called Shulz in Hogans Heroes. :D

I wouldn't be so fond of Silvio. One of his fix ideas is bringing Turkey and Israel into the EU, for example. ( see how Juden love him at http://www.nahost-politik.de/europa/berlusconi-0.htm ) Furthermore, both he and his senior partner in the Italian government, the 'post-fascist' Massimo Fini are big friends of Israel and underwent a thorough ideological circumcision, complete with the customary visit to Yad Vashem and the Wall of Tears to pay tribute to their overlords. The only person who deserves some credit in the Italian political landscape is Silvio's junior government partner, Umberto Bossi from the Northern League, who regularly mentions 'massons' (meaning Jews) as one of the driving forces behind the putrefaction of the western world. He will probably not last for long.

Wow, it seems to me that I get more and more companionship from my countrymen. Obviously there is a hunnic invasion going on here. Maybe TexDis has to watch his back from now on. The German court has ruled that everyone in the world who provides material that violates German speech codes and can be accessed by German citizens can be held liable under German law. So better stay out of Germany, as our friends of the Bundesverfassungsschutz might already be watching us. Just take the case of Gary Lauck (he calls himself Gerhard Lauck now I guess). As an American citizen, he spent 5 years in a German prison for activities that are totally legal in America but outlawed in Germany. The best thing of the story is that he was not arrested in Germany but in neighbouring Denmark. Not by the Danish police but by German agents who kidnapped him. So TexDis, make a big circle around Germany, its neighbouring countries and maybe the whole EU. So say goodbye to your European holiday trip. That's the price to be paid for spreading all the hateful vermin on this board.

Jamestown, I am not German. I used to live in Germany so I maintain a certain interest in German affairs as well as a sincere admiration for the German culture and NS. In short, for the Germany of yesteryear - a proud, confident and dynamic nation of philosophers, scientists, wariors... Today's Germany is, unfortunately, a very different story - a living experiment of politically correct totalitarianism that the vast majority of the population seems to be happily supporting. How did the Germans of the Third Reich turn into the most politically correct nation on earth will forever remain a mistery for me. Nothing, not even the horrendous WWII defeat and the post WWII allied terror can explain it. Regarding the Bundesverfassungsschutz, I was always wandering what kind of person would make a living by tormenting its own patriotic citizens on behalh of an alien, parasitic tribe. One day they will end up as ex-Stasi agents (if they are lucky).

May I attempt to answer your question. Unfortunately we Germans always had this negative characteristic of servility towards authoroty. It can be a posetive atribute, if there is a clean, honest and orderly system of rule in power. It becomes poison if a negative "elite" is in power. Germans are also easely duped. They believe everything that their rulers tell them (So they are like Lemmings everywhere).
There is a saying in German that goes like this: "Everything that is not explicitly allowed is forbidden". In this culture you learn to obey. Actually the whole German way of life is to follow rules, respect authority, not to stick out of the crowd. There are some characteristics about this nation that hardly exist anywhere else. One example is that German pedestrians never cross the street when the traffic light is red. Even punks and anti-authoritarians follow these rules. German tourists have problems to move their cars through Paris or other European cities as the German traffic code is pretty tough and everything is explicitly regulated. Once they leave Germany, they find it hard to cope with the more chaotic traffic in other countries. Germany has more lawyers and politicians on a capita base than any other European country. A Dutch guy once told me that the worst fascists he encountered were German. The worst communists he encountered were German. And the worst PC democrats he encountered were German. When militarism was prevalent in Europe a hundred years ago in Germany there was made a distinction between human beings and civilians. My great grand father had a wardrobe full of uniforms. Uniforms for every trade. Uniforms for sundays. Uniforms for every social club. People who were too young or too old for military service founded "Kriegervereine" (Warrior clubs) to play soldiers. Today environmentalism is a kind of state religion. Nuclear power stations are supposed to be shut down over the next 30 years. 90% of garbage is recycled and the Germans even separate and clean their garbage just for the recyclement bin. The plastic bags are transparent so the neighbour can watch whether the garbage is separated appropiately. The Germans are wrecking their own economy in the name of a united Europe. United Europe is another PC project that no one ever questions. It is out of debate. Ideologies usually have a bigger impact on Germany than on other countries. Somehow Germany is always good for a red alert bell for the current zeitgeist. You usually get the implementation of the current dogma in its purest form in Germany.
The problem with this country is that freedom and democracy do not work here as the cultural prerequisites are missing. You cannot have a free society in an authoritarian culture. And Germany is an authoritarian culture no matter what the PC liberals say. That is why the German version of democracy just lets a shiver go down the spine of an American. Finally the German educational system is still inherited from the feudal age. The educational system still caries the structure of the Prussian reformers like Hardenberg. After Napoleon defeated the Prussian army the Prussian leadership came to the conclusion that the Prussian soldier was defeated because he thought too much for himself. The new educational paradigma was to create a small well educated elite who were sent to the Gymnasiums (college preparation schools) and a broad public that was taught to obey in the Volksschulen (people's schools). The system still exists in this way today. At universities, there are hardly any students of working class background. According to the international PISA study, no other educational system in the industrialized world is so socially selective than the German one. Or in other words, if you are dumb and poor the system keeps you dumb and poor. The somehow contradictionary thing about Germany is that on the one hand she is able to produce a good deal of smart thinkers, while on the other hand the whole society rather has the outlook of a bleak, boring, mediocre and stiffling place. But the system was design that way that 5% are educated to think, and 95% are educated to obey. I guess William Pierce wanted such a society for America and maybe this is why he was a Germanophile. The whole American experiment of a free society cannot be exported to foreign countries who lack the cultural context. That is why Americans usually fail to export their social system. Germany is just a good example of that. Things can change overnight in Germany. People just mimick the current dogma as long as it is officially promoted. Everything depends on what the elite thinks. Once they change their dogma, ordinary people will do the same. As soon as the PC age comes to an end, the Germans will be the most ardent condemners of that era. And there will be hundreds of institutions and foundations to "scientificly analyze the past of the PC era" until the last corner of thought of our current insanity will be thoroughly investigated. 100% and so long until it makes you want to puke. That is how Germans usually approach any issue.

Doch scheißegal! Democracy doesn't work, and will never work. People will always vote for whoever promises them the most money or who looks after their special intertest. The media will also control the public opinion so that the "right" people get into office. And "Freedom" is the biggest lie ever!! It has come to mean "the escape from consequinces!"

Today anyone can study with BAFÃâG at the costs of the majorety, no matter how stupid or lazy he is. We have today so many lawyers and useless academics, because the postwar allied system has made a land of midle-class bourgois out of us. Just look at our political caste - they are worthless intelectuals who couldn't survive on the free market. Failed Pastors, Lawyers or just simple leftist street rowdys (Fischer, Trittin).
BAFÃâG just adds up to a few hundred marks per month. No one can make a living on that. Yes, everybody can study today, but this does not automatically lead to a successful graduation. It is finally the labour market that determines what kind of education pays off. The need for more skilled labour is the result of technological change, not some post war allied system. You will find the same trends in every other country. To blame the educational decline of this nation on the allies is a little bit too far off. The system still worked in the 1950s and 1960s. Just when the left made education their fetish in the 1970s and the 68 student radicals made their way through the educational institutions educational standards had fallen. I was refering to the educational paradigma that lasted the last 200 years in this country. The socalled "educational offensive" launched in the 1970 by the social democrats turned the educational system into the mess it is today. But this is a development you will find in other countries as well. The left has targeted the educational facilities because that is where you can mold the minds of the young. Teachers and lawyers are overrepresented in the political class. I agree with you on that.

I actually admire highly a people that has maintained a certain level of obedience to authority and sense of hyerarchy in today's world. If anything, there is too little of that in modern Germany. In the younger generation especially, I noticed a certain weakening of work ethic, a raising level of moral relativism and less respect for authority. I still have some hope for Germany and, as a Croatian, would see favourably a German leadership in a wider european spiritual rebirth process (the other country that gives me some hope in today's depressing political landscape is Russia). I had great expectations when Germany was reunited and 18 milion Germans, unspoiled by 50 years materialistic consumerism, were brought in from what I call the great refrigerator of history that was Communism. Unfortunately, my hopes were a bit premature. Of course, any genuine nationalistic reawakening in Germany (or any large country in Europe, for that matter) would face a mortal danger in the American Judeocracy and in Israel's 400 nuclear warheads. To stave this off, Germany should build nuclear weapons as soon as possible and/or make arrangements for a nuclear umbrella with Russia (in general, Germany should look more favourably to the east than to the west).
Please forget about 'Democracy' and the american style 'free society' - it is exactly these systems that brought us where we are today - a moral, cultural and racial train wreck. An enlightened (NS) authoritarian system is the best we can hope for.
