All it takes is for OD members to leave links to OD at Google Groups, MSN, Yahoo Groups, and Delphi Forums, and we can become very successful, even rival Free Republic.
I have convinced many high IQ and intellectual types to join OD by painstakingly convincing them that this is an intellectual forum, not a hangout for KKK, Neo-Nazi, and Skinheads. OD is culturally inspiring, I predict that Free Republic members will start signing up by the masses, they just need to be made aware of this forum.
By the way, how much does V-bulletin Discusson Forum software cost, the one Stormfront uses? It is, to my knowledge, the best Discussion Forum application; it seems to be the only program that gives "real time" data on who is using the forums at any given second.

It is important to note that OD's traffic rank has gone up 12,765 in the past 3 months and that its reach per million users has increased by 103%. Most neo-con sites such as FreeRepub, World Net Daily, Townhall, Newsmax, etc., while bigger than OD, have not experienced such rapid growth recently. We're moving on up!

Incidentally, that conincided with OD becoming more "racialist" than ever before. Is paleoconservatism dead, in the more and more polarizing political landscape?

Buchanan-style paleoconservatism is a rotting corpse, IMHO. I don't see anything wrong with OD becoming racialist as long as we don't go the way of Stormfront with threads like "What's your favortie Ressistance Records CD?" And of course, I would not like to see it infested with neocon trolls.

The question is not one being neutral as that is for cowards and the lazy. The real question is how to transform what remains of the paleos into a genuine, National Revolutionary cadre and that means instilling a folkish foundation onto which public policies that accually address the needs of our kinfolk logically flow.
It is my guess however, that this forum will soon be overflowing with spammers like Leo/Hbender and freakers making this a forum to avoid. The question is will that take weeks or months?

Are you answering the question why OD hasn't been inundated with trolls (save one or two)? LF, for example, has been. One reason, of course, is the forum host who is openly partisan, unlike the host at LF, but is that a sufficient explanation?

I like OD as well for the posts that are here.
True, there seems to be less "overt racialism" here when compared to Stormfront, and that will attract some middle of the roaders for constructive debate and questions.
Stormfront = White Nationalist Forum
Original Dissent = Community Discussion Forum
To compare the two is almost akin to comparing a Chevrolet with a Peterbilt.

Partisan in a sense that you have strong opinions on the subjects that the potential trolls would want to post about. This forum has a well-defined goal, and I like it (and finite tolerance for trolls). There is no way some of the LF trolls would last here for long.

With regards to LF, yes it is completely free. No disrespect towards Mr. Deere or anyone else there, but I can't say I've ever seen any sustained and substantive discussion take place there. Admittedly I don't scan their pages that often, but when I do there seems to be an abundance of chatty tit for tats. I don't have the patience for that sort of thing. Yes, I think we are much more focused on what we are about and want to accomplish, which helps a great deal in identifying those who merely want to disrupt and cause trouble. You know, like you used to do at Free Republic. :)

And where do you draw the line on obsession re the Confederate flag? Is someone who is proud of their heritage "obsessed"?

Still, it is good to know that I can visit and post at the closer to the middle of the road type forums such as this. :D
Every forum has rules that must be observed and etiquette that should be exercised.
Ones online character speaks volumes about the individual posting the messages.

Thanks for responding, just wanted to know where you stood vis-a-vis VNN and other sites that do 'name the Jew'. I was worried when you offered up The American Conservative and AmRen as examples of WN publications, as they tackle the Jewish question in a very round-a-bout way [and, in the case of AR, if the e-list is anything to go by, are 'philo-Semitic']. I also believe it is nec. for WNs to improve their image and attempt to appeal to the de-racinated masses, but on the other hand, I don't believe this can be done by ignoring the role of Jews in the decline of Occidental culture, as AmRen is attempting to do.
