**Winning Hearts and Minds With Rifle Butts

It seems clear that the game plan of the Axis of Looting (Britain, Israel and the USA) called for occupying Iraq until they could set up some stooge dictator who would then recruit enough goon police to control the Iraqi people while we siphoned their oil. At that happy point, the Axis of Looting boys thought their Glorious Imperial Legions could march out of Iraq to sack the next nation on their march of world conquest, probably Iran. By their own admission the Pentagon game plan assumed that the occupation forces would encounter no serious opposition for one year, which they reasoned would give them plenty of time to set up their puppet government and its goon squads.

Well, as we’ve seen they aren’t getting their one-year grace period, and in fact our Glorious Imperial Legions are being shot at on a daily basis all across Iraq. Even as I write these words, we’re conducting full-blown, Vietnam-style search-and-destroy missions north of Baghdad. The media isn’t calling them search-and-destroy missions yet, but that’s exactly what they are. These missions include sweeps by infantry and tanks backed up by strikes by jet bombers and helicopter gunships. The sweep involved my old Vietnam unit, the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The following quote is from an Associated Press item dated June 12, 2003:

“Hundreds of U.S. troops moved in hard and fast through the area, centered on the town of Duluiyah 30 miles north of Baghdad. With helicopters whirring overhead and tanks offering cover, they kicked down doors and pulled out residents, looking for snipers who had harassed them for weeks from the shelter of thick woods.”

One Iraqi who got in the way of this noble imperial juggernaut said this:

“"My brother was beaten, hit in the face and was killed," he said, adding that U.S. troops took away medicine his family was bringing for a cousin who had suffered a heart attack "and smashed it under their feet."”

Note that our troops are acquiring language skills to win the hearts and minds of the aborigines. The quote below is from my very own column of last week when I was trying to explain what would be going down in Iraq, and why the unlucky Moslem in the AP article got stomped to Paradise.

“The Glorious Imperial Legions in Vietnam likewise discovered that smashing gibbering heathens in the mouth with a rifle butt somehow improved their comprehension of English.”

The AP item noted that hundreds were handcuffed and arrested.

“Another resident, Ammar Salim, said 31 members of his family, males aged 13 to 70, were detained. "There was no reason for them to be arrested. They did nothing," he said. "They (U.S. forces) destroyed all our furniture, all our belongings."”

This is the “enemy manufacturing” process I’ve mentioned before, and it’s straight out of Vietnam.

Every village you come to you just round up every last male of remotely military age and beat the crap out of them. Why? Think of them as shirkers and yourself as recruiting sergeants, except for the other side. You have to run them off so they hide from the Glorious Imperial Legions in deserts, swamps, or remote hills where .... guess what? ... they are recruited by guerrilla bands. And just in case they don’t hate you enough already, just smash their furniture or shoot a few chickens or Zippo up their house or whatever, and then even the slowest rice farmer or camel driver will get the message. After all, the more “hate filled” your opponents are, the more noble your own troops will appear to the tube-fed idiots back home.

The Axis of Looting is still in high gear and committed to its game plan of conquering the world. They don’t seem to be a bit taken aback by the rash of bushwhacking by Iraqis, and are straight away trying to bludgeon them flat like some paving stone on their road to empire. I’m saying their ham fisted tactics and manufactured war will blow up in their faces and that their Glorious Imperial Legions will be driven back first into firebases and then out of Iraq all together.

But this defeat won’t be like Vietnam which was followed by a mere recession. Defeat in this war means the dollar turns to toilet paper and we turn into a sort of huge Argentina and stay that way. I don’t even want to think about what will follow after that. It could be nuclear war or civil war here in America, or it could be both. With a freaking necrophiliac for an emperor who performs weird ceremonies with human remains, and an establishment press that takes its orders from London and Tel Aviv anything is possible. I’ll give us maybe one year before we’re leaving Baghdad hanging on the helicopter skids. After that, it’s the beginning of the end.
