Sometimes the various indicators that indicate where unread messages exist since one's last login, such as the dark colored arrows outside of forums or the small arrows that appear next to message titles, simply vanish within a few minutes of being logged into OD, as if there are no new messages since my last login. It's as though I've logged out and then immediately logged back in, although I consciously did nothing of the sort. Has anybody else experienced this?
BTW, I use AOL which might have something to do with it...

That sort of happens to me, too. I assumed it was because I had viewed that page and the indicators get "reset" somehow to be ready for the next "new posts" that come along. Never found this too troubling, though, I just sort of make a mental note where the new messages are so I can go look at them even when the indicators turn off in a few clicks.

I use View New Posts, at the top -- which always gives me a page (or 2) listing all the posts that have been added or added to since I last visited. I open the posts I want to read in new windows, so they are all loading while I'm reading the first... But since it's like a Google search results page, the list of latest posts, STAYS accessible with all the new posts.
