I found out about OD from the First Amendment Exercise Machine (FAEM).

http://www.faem.com/

This site has excellent writters, Eric Thomson, who coined the term ZOG is my favorite. It has been updated reguarly for years now. However it has not been updated since May 13.

What has happened tothese good people? Does anyone know? Has the "Patriot Act" Ax fell on them?

If anyone knows let us know. My thoughts and prayers are with them. They are good people.

Samuel

I’m beginning to wonder myself. I e-mailed him about three days ago in hopes of a response but nothing so far. Let's hope he’s taking a vacation.

It appears now that FAEM has left us for good. I for one will miss it.

Looks like he went back into the cave again. Of course, he got out of there last time because of all the clamor over where he had gone. I don't think I'll miss him as much. His writings were too self-contained.

I enjoyed the commentary on FAEM, hopefully Mr. Frenz keeps it up. I can't blame him for vanishing to "the cave" either.

I'm getting a 'Forbidden Server' message when I go to FAEM- anyone else?

PS_ what does 'Forbidden Server' mean?

Probably just Frenz goofing off, like his "knotfound" page.

They'll get tired of sulking and come back. (Just a guess.)

I just checked the http://faem.cc mirror and it said the webspace would soon be available for $6.95/mo.

There was also a Latin phrase:

Factum fieri infectum non potest.

which Google tells me means:

You can't undo what's done.

All I can say is: how depressing (and defeatist.)

Forbidden Server really is an actual HTTP server error message. Error 403 if I recall. This one wasn't made up by Frenz, it's the same message screen I've gotten elsewhere when things don't go right when accessing webpages.

Out of curiosity I looked up "Error 403" causes and found this:

**This can be caused by the following:

The site has not been uploaded yet. The site has been uploaded to an incorrect directory Your host is not allowed to access this site. Permissions forbid you from viewing this site.**

Since Frenz pulled his site, it's likely the first or fourth (since there's no public-readable document in the directory) in the list.

A better piece of news might have been an Error 403 or a 404 (Not Found) upon going to the www.freerepublic.com domain.

Where would all those displaced FReep (rhymes with sheep) go then?

The Hannity Forum?

"You can't undo what's done"? Frenz' usual message is that things will fall apart in their own time, and there's nothing we can to to accelerate the process, so we should watch, wait & prepare. If he's just decided to end FAEM, I'm sorry about it, but that's his privilege. But with that bitter Latin statement, it really sounds as if the man has just generally given up, doesn't it?

What a rotten, ambiguous way to bow out........

Yes. Of course, he can give up, but that doesn't mean all adherents of his ideology are supposed to do so, as well.

For those not familier with FAEM a cache of material is still available at this site.

Google FAEM Cache

It does appear however that the original site is either down or blocked by the host.

One last thought on that (well, maybe the last).

White Nationalists of all sorts are getting leaned on lately, what with Duke and Hale in jail and arrests for "copyright infringment" so my instinct tells me some pressure came on the old boys.

I only interject it as possible because as crabby as they were sometimes, they were not defeatist or even especially morose. I think I got more laughs out of FAEM than The Onion last year. If they gave up there was a reason.

Although hardly a serious news site, FAEM will be missed if it is indeed gone for good this time. I've heard a few rumors that I won't bother to repeat - we have enough gossip BS going through the pro-White world as it is.

Anyone who can put out a topical, interesting WN site day after day (for years) deserves our appreciation and respect. I suspect it rather quickly becomes a grinding task. There is no pay, and there probably is little positive feedback.

Robert Frenz was acquainted with George Lincoln Rockwell. Imagine being around white nationalism all those years -- without seeing the Revolution. Most would eventually be overwhelmed with frustration.

From VNN:

Subject: Frenz rumored dead of pneumonia

6/12/2003

Robert Frenz principally operated faem.com, and he died of pneumoonia, I understand, May 17 or so. I think he was 59. Thomson doesnt have a computer, just sent or faxed his stuff to Frenz typed. So don't know what's going to happen. This is second hand, told to me by a friend of Thomson's. -M.

I downloaded the site shortly before it left entirely. It amounted to a little more than 22 MB. If you wanted a copy of something that was on the site let me know.

**Frenz rumored dead of pneumonia **

My hat's off to the guy if true. I’m trying not to let the bastards get me down Robert.

"You can't undo what's done."

This is not defeatist at all, IMO. ZOG is fucked up. The United States is dead and like all dead things it will not come back. It is now time to start anew. I'm sure all of you know that this is an unimaginably important period of history in which we are living. It is time to plant the seeds of a whole new world, if our seeds are worthy of creating a whole new world. This is an acid trip of epic proportions. We've taken the hit, we're riding out the effects, and we'll come back to a different world, no matter what. Only we decide if it's good or bad.

Very true. Too true. A summary more Americans better start trying to understand.

And Robert Frenz -- RIP (if true). I hope the reports of his death will prove to be premature.

From the Birdman:

Second quote of the day (Thanks Tsun): Please don't tell people that Robert [Frenz] is dead yet [of pneumonia May 17, so it is rumored], because there's a good chance it may not be true, though nobody seems to know where he is. He has traveled for several weeks in the past, leaving the site [faem.com] unattended. Let's hope that's the case this time. Plus, the original rumor-letter writer on VNN gave Robert a very wrong age and overlooked a couple other things that show he (or she) is not a first or second hand source. Let's hope Robert Frenz is ok.
