**Journalist Bob Woodward told Larry King recently that Republican VP nominee Dick Cheney has a gay relative. and Matt Drudge just revealed that the relative is Dick Cheney's daughter, Mary. Is this news, does it matter, and should it?
Washington insiders, your Guide included, have known for 10 years now that former Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney had a lesbian daughter named Mary. But the story wasn't talked about publicly, until today. Last night (July 24, 2000), journalist Bob Woodward hinted at the story on Larry King Live, and today Matt Drudge outed the woman with both barrels blazing. The question remains: does it matter?**

I had read somewhere that Lynn Cheney wrote a book called Sisters in the early 1980's. It was said that the book contained some elements of lesbianism.

Yes, I know. Myself, I found out only a couple of weeks ago, and I simply wanted to remind everyone how dedicated the G.O.P. is to preserving American family values (sarcasm.)
