I have already completely shattered churbanââ¬â¢s idiotic pipe dreams of Hindu racial purity in the thread ââ¬ÅIndians are close to Africans than Europeans] ââ¬Å. Now I shall proceed to tackle his hilarious claim that Hindus are ââ¬Åthe cleverest people in the world.ââ¬Â To obtain data on Indian intelligence, I will turn to the best source on national IQ data ââ¬â IQ and the Wealth of Nations by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen. I will only be using the study that utilized the Standard Progressive Matrices as the IQ test (I will be comparing IQ data for India with IQ data for Russia; the only IQ study ever done on Russians use the Standard Progressive Matrices as measurement.)

** In 1992, norms were collected for the Standard Progressive Matrices for a sample of 569 11- to 15-year-olds in Delhi.ÃÂ The data are given by Raven, Court, and Raven (1996).ÃÂ In relation to the 1979 British standardization sample, the mean IQ is 84. To adjust for the 13-year interval between the two standardizations, this needs to be reduced to 82.***

Letââ¬â¢s compare this data with that for Russians, whom churban characterizes as ââ¬Åstupidââ¬Â(LOL) and ââ¬Åincompetentââ¬Â.
== IQ and the Wealth of Nations by Richard Lynn and Tatu Vanhanen, p. 217, par. 5.
In 1997, norms for the Standard Progressive Matrices were obtained for a representative sample of 14- to 15-year-olds from Briansk, a city in European Russian about 200 miles southwest of Moscow (Raven, 1998). Their mean IQ in relation to the British standardization sample was 100. Because of the 18-year interval between the two standardizations, this needs to be reduced to 96.*
Lynn adjusts his figures for the Flynn effect, a phenomenon of spontaneous IQ score increase. Most psychologists (Arthur Jensen, J. Philippe Rushton, etcââ¬Â¦) believe that the Flynn effect has nothing to do with intelligence per se* but rather represents an increase in test-taking savvy. Therefore, it is best to remove these adjustments.
Thus, weââ¬â¢re left with unadjusted IQs of 84 and 100 for India and Russia respectively. How do we extrapolate the effects of this discrepancy into real life? Well, first of all, assuming a standard deviation of 15 for both countries, Russians produce 32 times as many 158+ IQ geniuses per capita as Indians. More importantly, unless Indiaââ¬â¢s IQ increases dramatically, it will not be able to industrialize (much less become a superpower as churban vainly hopes) any time in the foreseeable future. So much for churbanââ¬â¢s dreamsââ¬Â¦.
