Eggle memorialized with other slain officers

CADILLAC - Washington, D.C. is a special place for Bob Eggle.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Eggle often visits the capital for reunions or to see the Vietnam Memorial. Now, the city has even more meaning for Eggle.
Eggle's son, Kris, was shot to death last August while apprehending two suspects in a drug-related killing along the Arizona-Mexico border.
In recognition of Kris Eggle's service and sacrifice, his name was inscribed into the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington.
Two weeks ago, Bob Eggle was in Washington and visited the law officer's memorial, seeing Kris' inscription for the first time.

Later in the original article they mention how Congress will now act to pass legislation changing the name of the visitors center in the Organ Pipe National Wilderness to the Kris Eggle Memorial Visitors Center.
I'm sure that will bring some measure of comfort to his family. But what about the thousands of other families of those killed, raped, and robbed by illegal aliens in this country every day.
Congress seems less interested in addressing the problem of illegal immigration than in token condolences once the damage has been done.
