Each and every day more and more services, unfunded mandates, rights, privlidges, and governmental tacit acceptance of illegal immigrants grant criminals illegally in this country more rights than citizens have.
Soon California will make the Matricula Consular equal to the Ca. Drivers License for access to all government services, and now Texas has made it offical the US taxpayer must provide not only emergency care to all foreign nationals, but regular, everyday, routine, health services. Gee that will really keep em from flooding across the border. Once again the Taxpayer takes it in the rear thanks to the pandering gutless politico hacks.

** Senate approves care for illegal immigrants By CLAY ROBISON

AUSTIN -- Legislation to make it clear that counties and other local governments can provide nonemergency health care to illegal immigrants was approved by the Senate on Monday.
Senate Bill 309 by Sen. Mario Gallegos, D-Houston, was prompted by a ruling two years ago by then-Attorney General John Cornyn that the practice was illegal.
The opinion surprised Harris County Hospital District officials, who had been providing care to indigent immigrants for years.
In his July 2001 opinion, Cornyn said that the 1996 federal welfare reform law barred hospital districts from providing most free or discounted preventive care to undocumented immigrants without specific state approval.
His ruling didn't apply to emergency room care, immunizations and treatment for communicable diseases and child abuse.
Gallegos' bill, which now goes to the House, provides that local governments can provide discounted, preventive care without regard to a patient's immigration status.

What's even more striking is how this is all happening as the states are running out of money, producing crisis such as the one you just posted.

The well's running dry, and the establishment instead of trying to fill it is just trying to put a lid on the whole issue.

Way back when Mario Cuomo was the socialist governor of New York, a local radio talk show host Jay Diamond, who was an impressionist to some extent and could imitate others voices extremely well, did some very funny skits on the radio regarding the insanity of Cuomo's and NYC Mayor David Dinkin's policies of not enforcing the law against criminals. He did one skit in which Cuomo declared a new program that issued criminal identification cards. The idea was that when a criminal decided to steal something, he would merely present the criminal identification card so everyone knew it was okay, he was registered with the state as a professional criminal. This, according to the liberal logic of Cuomo, would result in a reduction in violence during criminal activities. Jay's presentation of this hypothetical folly was very funny.
Apparently this ridiculous idea of a criminal identification card has actually made its way into USA's public policy. This is complete insanity. As indicated, the burden on the medical system from illegals is tremendous and is banrupting hospitals and increasing insurance premiums for law abiding citizens.
