Hey, human life is just a piece of collateral damage. The French really had no insight into how to change things, and America is safer. We killed a bunch of sand ngs, and we got oil big time. Iraqis now have the same freedom we have, no more free health, free college, free housing, gun rights, now they are like us.. they can talk sh+t about the Gov't.. and continue to pay 50 % tax and work for 5 $ an hour to feed the oil machine, as long as the booze and porn and pot flows, they are free !! The mother of this child must be very happy !! After all, it's just collateral damage !! Who cares about the eyeless, the legless, and the armless children ?? I don't !! I watch Fox News and I agree with Sean Hannity and I am an AMERICAN !! THe only way to make things happen is to LET IT ROLL !!!! Helz Yeah, we got it goin on !! It's just a chapter in history.. your son/daughter, your mother/father.. they're just spokes in the wheel of time, man !! Forget about it, this is the new America !!!!! WHO CARES about your family ???? Serve !!!!!!!!!!!

I recently had a conversation that went something like this.......
Lemming: "Oh, man, our victory in Iraq is awesome. We freed the Iraqis! Did ya see those bombs falling! You can't mess with the USA, baby!! Now we're gonna kick the crap outta Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and if any of those European pussies say anything we'll kill those faggots too!! Yea, don't mess with Texas George!"
Me: "So we're just waging a righteous war to free oppressed people and then immediately turn the country over to a new regime without the US taking any spoils of victory?"
Lemming: "What? Are you one 'o dose liberal anti war people? George Bush has been right about everything so far. Our military is the best in the world! We might kill some innocents but our Forces cannot be defeated. We've gotta clean up that part of the world, and the American people are the saviors of the world. The Islamic nutcases are savages who need to be reigned in, taught our way of democracy. Our military can do anything the President asks of them. Killing in the name of freedom is ok, and I'm damn proud of this country man!"
Me: "The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is a major, major part of the destabilization of the Middle East. The hatred caused by Israeli apartheid and random killing of Palistinians is a major force in causing Islamic extremism, don't ya think?"
Lemming: "I don't care what the rag heads think. Israel is our best friend and they do what they have to do to survive. They can't be forced to accept Palestinians if they don't want them there. The Israelis are protecting themselves from savages. If I was Israeli I'd kill those Ay Rabs too if they throw rocks at me!! Shoooot!"
Me: "Oh, but White Americans were forced to accept countless minorities into their society, countless immigrants from the third world, and quotas, abortion. The Whites here never had a vote."
Lemming: "What? Oh God, you not one of those guys! I think you gotta stop with this stuff. America is built on immigration. That's what makes us great. We have the most freedom in the world here. You think there's something wrong here? Oh man, I'd fight and die for this country!"
Me: "How old are you?"
Lemming: "23"
Me: "You know, the US Armed Forces are looking for guys like you, dude. I think you'd make a fine soldier. Go and join. Beats working as a shipping clerk, don't ya think. Damn, they'd love to have you over in the Middle East. That's what you really want right? There's gonna be millions of 'ragheads' to fight and kill there!"

I was talking recently with a liberal friend of mine, anti-war until the war party invented their "Iraqi liberation" excuse, he suddenly turned mildly pro-war thinking we could actually build wonderful democracies in the middle east. I reminded him how Arabs have never shown much tendency to democracy and pointed out how well democracy-at-gunpoint has worked in Afghanistan. I further pointed out all the negative effects at home: the $3 billion/day cost, the wholesale revokation of the bill of rights, and how it won't be over for at least a generation if we're really going to occupy Iraq long enough to force a democracy there. Then I asked if 'freeing' a few Iraqis who by and large don't want our help was worth going broke and losing all of our civil rights. He's anti-war again.
Not that this really has much to do with anything; I'm just pleased with myself. :D
But man, that propaganda does a damn good job of bypassing the brain cells that are supposed to think about it before accepting it, huh? :1eye:

Let me tell you something, I know you mentioned rolling into France as an absurdity, but it is a fact that France is on an equal footing with the United States. Militarily. France has a 500,000 standing army, a space program which is in competition with our own, and dozens of nuclear silos.. France has the ability to wipe out all major cities in this country. Impervious to defence. You don't want to f_k with France, believe me.
