It was reported this week on the Drudge report that an American military unit in the south of Iraq was feed by the very village that they had laid siege to. The Americans had surrounded the village and had been firing into and bombing it for 48 hours. There was a disruption in the supply lines for the Americans. They kept getting double ammunition and no food. The besieged Iraqis heard about this and came out with a white flag. They subsequently arranged to feed the entire American unit. After the meal was over the bombing and firing resumed.

In another reported case an American commanding officer was lost and began to cry. This embarrassed her soldiers who left her weeping over her map. Then all of a sudden a member of the Iraqi resistance appeared and quickly helped the distressed American officer. He also pointed out a number of errors in the map, which was 20 years out of date.
