In Texas, anti-French feeling hits too close to one woman's home

AUSTIN, Texas - Francoise Thomas has tried to stay on the sidelines of the Iraq crisis, but a hateful message scrawled on her garage door brought anti-French sentiment uncomfortably close to home.
"Scum go back to France," ready the angry note, spray painted on the French native's garage door over the weekend.
"I nearly had a heart attack," Thomas, who lives in a suburb north of Houston, told the Houston Chronicle. "I love the United States."
Thomas is a real estate agent who has lived in the United States for a quarter century. She recently retired and plans to remain in the Houston area.
Thomas said she believes the incident is a hate crime and is offering 1,000 dollars for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the responsible party. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Houston Police Department.
Many neighbors were aghast, saying they were afraid the graffiti might have been scrawled on Thomas' home by a fellow resident of the Kingwood subdivision.
"Who knows she's from France?" asked Sandra Winkler. "Only the people in the neighborhood."
Over the weekend, one neighbor who wished to remain anonymous got out a bucket of white paint and covered up the angry red letters.
"It's just the right thing to do," he told the Houston newspaper. Other sympathetic neighbors brought Thomas flowers and chocolate.

Exactly. The reactionary Left always seems to go AWOL when you really need them.
This happened pretty close to my neck of the woods, by the way. The act was more than likely committed by some wacko, 'Hannitized' AM talk radio junkie.

One other thing worth mentioning. This news agency caters to an international news audience, particularly the French.
I haven't seen this story get an ounce of coverage over here in the US media (surprise, surprise) but I reckon it's getting plenty of press in Europe. A good way to reinforce a redneck neocon stereotype.

Little do these nose-picking redneck retards know that they are 'useful goyim idiots' being used to further the cause of the anti-Christian, anti-European tribe. This whole UN episode has inspired me to think about undertaking the study of French.
