I read one of those FR thread link to on this thread. I was shocked to note Zionist Conspirator said He is a Goy! What a Moron! He is one of those anti-Christian Goy Noahide! He was raised a Christian.

I wonder if some of the Jewish Freepers would enlighten me: What is the current Jewish concept or expectation of the coming Messiah? What kind of entity will this be, a man or god? What will the Messiah do once he comes? What is the Jewish concept of afterlife, and what if anything does the Messiah have to do with that? These are sincere questions from a Christian who is well-grounded in his own faith, but ignorant of the Jewish concepts of a Messiah. Thanks!
Well, I'm not Jewish, but as a former chr*stian who is now a practicing Noachide maybe I can throw a little light on the subject, at least as I understand it.
The Jewish concept of the Mashiach (literally, "anointed") is relatively straightforward. He will be a human and not G-d who is a descendant of King David (the archtypal Mashiach) who gathers the Nation into its Homeland, rebuilds the Temple, and restores the full Torah service ("rebuilding the ramparts that have fallen into disrepair" I believe is sort of how Maimonides expresses it). Beyond this we do not know a great deal. Maimonides held that Mashiach will marry and have children and found a dynasty that will continue to rule after his own death. There is another opinion, however, that Mashiach will rule for forty years after which the Messianic era will be succeeded by the World to Come.
But at any rate, Mashiach basically restores Biblical Israel under the Davidic dynasty. There is no vicarious atonement involved. The basic principle is relatively forthright.
Incidentally, since the Davidic line must exist until Mashiach is revealed, it follows that this line exists now and that in each generation there is a person qualified to fulfill the role of Mashiach should that generation merit it.
The chrstian concept of messiah is by comparison extremely complicated. Added to this is the unpleasant fact that there is no single chrstian religion. There are instead a wide array of religions going by that name that share a common vocabulary, but in which the words have radically different meanings. But the basic chrstian claim is that the simple surface Jewish meaning is a misinterpretation and that the "messianic kingdom" is a metaphor for the chrstian church ruled over by Jsus since the resurrection. And his role is not to be a literal king over literal Israel (which are taken as "types" in the Hebrew Bible for his true mission) but to redeem humanity from sin as the counterpart of Adam in a grand cosmological drama. The literal "king" business simply does not exist . . . except for those chrstian bodies that reject chrstian tradition and instead read "the two testaments" without an authoritative interpretive tradition. These groups simply accept the assertions of the "old" and "new" testaments simultaneously, which leads to the unique Fundamentalist Protestant (or "Judaeochrstian") theory of a messiah who comes first to die for the sins of the world (the traditional chrstian understanding as related in the nt) and then comes again at the end of time to ingather Israel and rule over them, as the "old testament" insists and as Jews have always understood. Those chrstians who know only this syncretistic Judaeochrstian interpretation find it extremely difficult to understand why all chrstians from the beginning of that religion have not understood the messiah in this way (after all, it simply juxtaposes the plain old and new testament understandings). However, the unhappy and undeniable fact is that this is a new understanding that developed in Bible-only Protestantism and that all historical chr*stianity has always utterly rejected it. This being the case, one must simply choose which version of the "messiah" to accept: the original one, or a new one that came along later and imposed its meaning on the Hebrew Bible by allegorical interpretation.
Parenthetically, some Fundamentalist Judaeochr*stian groups try to legitimize the "two messianic roles" (redeemer from sin and literal King of Israel) by appealing to the Midrash that teaches that Mashiach Ben David will be preceded by a Mashiach Ben Yosef who dies. But in Jewish tradition these are altogether two different individuals with different ancestries (tying together Davidic Judah with the other tribes associated with Joseph), and Mashiach Ben Yosef dies in battle against the enemies of Israel.
In addition to all the above points, I would like to observe that the nature of the "redemption" caused by the crucifixion in the various strains of chrstianity are radically different--a fact most chrstians simply do not appreciate. In Fundamentalist Protestantism the crucifixion was a simple vicarious damnation undergone for each and every individual and appropriated passively. In Catholicism it was an act of merit which in G-d's eyes atoned for Adam's sin and redeemed mankind as a unit. Each individual spends a lifetime in appropriating this salvation, which already exists for mankind as a whole, by practicing virtue and avoiding sin, repentence, prayer, and observance of the Catholic rituals and commandments. The hardest version to understand for one coming out of Fundamentalist Protestantism (this writer, for example) is that of Eastern Orthodoxy, which completely rejects the concept of original sin and the Western "juridical" model of the crucifixion as an atonement for that sin. I couldn't even begin to describe what I have read on he subject without slipping into bitter parody caused by its utter alienness and indecipherability, so I'll let you check it out on your own on the Internet.
In fact, the Internet has links to all the ancient forms of chrstianity: Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Non-Chalcaedonian ("monophysite" or "Oriental Orthodox"), and the Ancient Church of the East ("Nestorian"). They are all there, each and every one of them. There is no longer any excuse for isolated American Fundamentalist Protestantism to remain ignorant of historical chrstianity, even though learning about it may completely destroy such an individual's belief in the chr*stian religion completely. But if you are truly a seeker after Truth whatever the consequences I urge you to investigate each and every one of the genuine ancient churches and see what they have to say in their own words. Then compare their understanding of "the messiah" and the Bible to what you have always believed and make the decision as to which version you will accept.

Let's face it: to Buchanan, Raimondo, Reese, Sobran, and their ilk "neoconservative" simply means a conservative who is pro-Israel. By their definition both Robert Taft and Ezra Taft Benson were neoconservatives, and I'm sure they'd gladly confirm that.
The anti-Zionist right has been my own personal demon for 26 years (hence my handle on this forum). As a simple Bible-Belt redneck I had no slightest inkling that there ever had been a right wing or a conservative movement that was anti-Israel. For my entire lifetime Israel has existed as a state (I have no memory of its "artificial" creation in "Palestine") and has been part of the western, anti-Communist alliance. They even had their own Communist Third World national liberation movement warring against them as other anti-Communist powers had. In addition to this I had never heard of an anti-Semitic chrstian theology (growing up hearing only of the theology of that "conspirator" C. I. Scofield). Who would have thought? Serously, who would? Then I joined the Birch Society. And while the Birch Society itself is not explicitly anti-Semitic, it is indeed the entry point into that world with which it shares so much, including perhaps its inner philosophy. Soon I found a world I had never before had dreamed ever existed: The Spotlight, The Councilor, The American Mrc*ry ("the only magazine for patriotic conservatives"), and all the myriad publications and organizations that were, to a one, viruently anti-Israel and anti-Jewish. Even mainstream conservatives like Jesse Helms originally subscribed to this anti-Zionist ideology. I began to wonder if there were a pro-Israel conservative in existence--a strange issue for someone who knew only pro-Israel conservatives growing up.
At any rate, this world was almost dead and with a stake through its heart until Pat Buchanan single-handedly revived it. Now he has been joined by an army of pests of like mind, all claiming to represent a "pure" and "original" conservatism that I never knew existed until I was at least twenty years old. And they're completely immune to any kind of reasoning. I've been debating one in private e-mail for some time now.
You can point out that Jewish liberals who are against he war with Iraq are supporters of domestic liberalism and decadence. It doesn't matter. They never even hear the argument. All that matters to them is destroying Israel (the biggest rightward pull in the entire Jewish community) and they think dirty movies and abortion clinics will magically disappear. It's not self-hating anti-Zionist Jewish hippies who are implicated in America's cultural rot, they insist, but the State of Israel and its supporters. They hate decadence but they embrace Gore Vidal, Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Desmund Tutu, Nelson Mandela, and Noam Chomsky simply because, supposedly, by opposing Israel they are unwittingly opposing the cause of all the ills our world is facing. These people are so alien to me it and everything I ever knew that they aren't even funny. And considering what they think of "parasitic" Jews who live in non-Jewish countries, you'd think they'd welcome an actual Jewish State. But no. Apparently they want the Jews to come flying back to their "host countries" where they can be conveniently dealt with somehow.
In short, I hate these people. And I make no apologies for it. They are evil, not stupid. They have made their choice. They have chosen enmity against HaShem, their Creator. Despite what they claim, it is obvious that they know `Am Yisra'el is different from every other people on earth. Why else obsess on them continually as the "uniqe enemy of all nations?" Why else get in bed with Cynthia McKinney or Gore Vidal???
It's not that the pro-Israel community is perfect. It contains plenty of embarrassments like Tom Lantos (a Holocaust survivor who is almost new age in some of his views) and Alan Dershowitz (who is still wishing his "pro-Israel" buddy Al Gore had won the election). And of course we've all heard of the ADL and AIPAC from the Israel-haters, who interestingly never mention the official organization of Zionism in the United States, the Zionist Organization of America (perhaps because they're not liberal enough to fit their stereotype). Also, one need not believe in international democracy or capitalism to support Israel. As a Ben Noach who believes the Torah is the Authentic Word of G-d to the world I myself look for the restoration of Theocratic monarchy, animal sacrifices, and such "anachronistic" institutions as polygyny, concubinage, and (Torah regulated) slavery (sorry, but all that stuff's in there and there's no use pretending it isn't). My own domestic views are more similar to a rightwing monarchist Remnant-type Roman Catholic than to any "neoconservative," but of course since I support Israel I am a neoconservative. I also believe that the State of Israel should be a Torah State rather than a Hellenistic western-style secular democracy, and that even in the diaspora the Jewish community should be a sovereign, self-governing entity under the civil authority of the authentic Rabbinate and Battei Din. Perhaps if such were the case G-d-fearing non-Jews who oppose being implicated in the actions and positions of our G-dless government could then switch their own allegiance. That would leave, what . . . the "palaeos" and the liberals as the only US citizens left. But they enjoy each other's company so much I'm sure they'd have a grand time together.
I don't care how "pure" or "authentic" the "conservative tradition" represented by these people is. I know that I never heard of it until I encountered it in its sneaky, undherhanded, proselytary Birch form. And I was happier when I was ignorant. I don't know this "pure, authentic" conservatism. And I don't want to.
My only hope is that in a supreme act of justice they be killed off as collateral damage by their Communist Arab buddies.
I may have to drive two hours through a thunderstorm next week, but I am determined thanks to people like these to be present with Torah Jews and help them celebrate what "palaeoconservative" Revilo P. Oliver (y'sh"v) called "Hate Aryans Day" (Purim). I urge all who acknowledge and fear the G-d of Israel to do the same.

OK....I'll go with your line of reasoning.
No, you're not. I didn't say the overwhelming (and silent) majority of registered users on LF were neonazi sympathizers. Most probably they're not, and refuse to have anything to do with the output of the place after having registered there - in fact, as I said, I imagine most of them are not even there anymore.
But you're really sort of comparing apples and oranges. A community (Skokie) is bound by certain rules, so that any Nazi scum that wants to march actually has a right to. A board such as LF is privately owned and doesn't come under any free-speech rules but the owner's. So if the general tone of the place is Nazist, it is really with the approval of the owner. It's like a newspaper - if most of what is printed in there is nazi rants, it's a nazi newspaper and that becomes the editorial line. It also becomes the editorial responsibility (something no publisher can escape by saying he "doesn't want to censor"). And no board owner can run away from the fact that he actually is the publisher of what is on his board, be it calls to exterminate the Jews or a discussion of bunnyrabbits.
More, if the place is used for stuff like planning attacks on Jews, for example, and anything is carried out, the owner is effectively finished legally. And if Graybeard's offer to map Jewish homes for al Quaida hits should come to fruition, I'd imagine that everyone who ever posted on LF would face an interesting time with a lot of pc's being carted away for forensics.

I find your remark to be nonscence, everyone knows what good shabbos goys... Christians are. Well with all that support for tha State of Isreal. Heck your practically crossing your fingers awaithing jesus's return out of the Jewish State...Just fly those jews in from around the world, as soon as ya get em all there its rapture time. As a Noahide i am a believer in God and Tanakh and everything Judaism is. However, i am no zionist supporter, nor do i want a lobby tryin ta pass laws sayin ya cant critisize the State Of Isreal and Jews. But Jews do need Shabbos Goys like you all around to support them against the Muhammedans.
