Rule for decoding psychoanalytic messages: ignore all negatives. Reason: The Unconscious (Freud) knows no negation, recognizes no limits. These are inventions of the conscious mind, to prevent the negated content from being accepted. It is the content, itself, that "carries the cathexis" (=potent energy charge: "power" in the media's token de jure). It wouldn't be present, at all, unless requireing denial; therefore, its denial proves its power.[/I]
Bearing this in mind, the following:

Applying the rule doesn't bring the wise to any surmises they were unable to make without it, perhaps, but it puts such critical insights on the right plane to connect. Powell's statement is actually a proof of its opposite -- exactly wht has been argued here. It **IS**, in fact, Israel and American Jews driving ("engineering" would be true, too) the war on Iraq,
Powell's statement stands alongside Nixon's "I Am Not a Crook" line as aming the most open, obvious, starting, unconsciously self-refuting statements in the annals of stupidity.
However, beyond that....

*Shuttle Columbia may have been damaged more than reported at take-off; some whistle-blowers, like Coleen Rowley and the Enron lady were ignored
*Elizabeth Smart is suddenly discovered and happily reunited with family; immediately set to plucking harp/heart strings, god, that TV cable news crawl-line sure needed some feel-good token
*President Bush suddenly delivers the US roadmap to peace in the middle-East, calling for two nations, to give the Palestinians somethiht to hold onto; but no West Bank expansion, in effect freezing Israel (one hears Zionists saying "no way -- wait " -- they still want all of Jerusalem and removal of Palestinianst to Jordan ... so the road looks more than bumpy. Those aren't pot holes; they're craters.
*Swoosh. Tony Blair comes on, adding AMen to the part that gives Palestininas a state -- politically necessary, 'lest his 19% popularity poll numbers should plumet further. He is off to meet with Bush and Spain's Azner in the Azores. ("...Behind him lay the gray Azores, behind, the gates of Hercules...before him not the ghost of shores, before him, only shoreless seas....Oh Captain, My Captain...)
*Pat Buchanan is riding point here. Whatever cards he's got, he must show them now, and not back out, back down, or back up. I personally thing he is too compromised by the dead heads he has associagted with in putting over "the southern strategy" He has to distance himself from the neocons, Israel's Amen corner, and all "faith-based initiatives" whatsoever.
Zionist Christians are America's enemy. I agree with what some are saying on this. It does not indict Christianity, as such, but it requires asking of this fanatical, if well-meaning, bridge group (many of whom supported Reagan, as if Hollywood were religion): please stand up for our country, not theirs.

As for our Bushwhacker talking about the "Road Map" for the Mid East...the Road goes from paved to gravel to dirt to track and to nowhere.

I've long held that he Australian outback would be a good resettlement locale. Pull a Phoenix, somehow. Requires: frontier-mentality types to share culture with natives. I see lots of opportunities there for the right kind of people, and have said so.
Then, this guy gets on the LA board I inhabited last summer, screamng at me. NOT HERE, NOSTADOMUS! -- they've already got nukes stacked up in the hinterlands. However, I still hold its do-able, with maybe some gentile investment capital outlay, to squeeze out the relligious entrepreneurs. Let 'em eat morality when they get down there. And watch out for flying coke bottles.
