CONTRARY to recent inaccurate reports, my newspapers are entirely free to set their own editorial agendas with regard to the forthcoming and entirely justified war against Iraq.

I have made a solemn commitment never to interfere with my editors’ freedom to say whatever I tell them. It is merely a coincidence that all 37 of the major titles currently owned by Gnome International Media Group support my own views on the war. From the popular Perth Clarion (“Let’s Nuke the Bastards!”) to the Times of London (“Nation Rallies Behind Blair”), the story is the same.

My editors speak with one voice -- my own. God Bless America (where I now live).
