Folks, your peerless correspondent from Baltimore is back on line having survived the hellish President’s Day Snowstorm of 2003. This is something I will be telling my great grandchildren about when we are sitting around the bunker circa 2025, down to our last cartridge belt, with the mob coming down the driveway waving placards written in Spanish.

Seeking balm from the irritation of 24X7 local news coverage of the storm, I turned to the movie channel for diversion and finally hit the wall Tuesday night with The Gold Diggers of 1933. Halfway through it I turned it off in disgust and disappointment. I didn’t think anything could be as bad as an Andy Hardy movie, but that was before I tried to sit through a Busby Berkley musical.

That being said – it is interesting to observe the way that the talking heads are treating the peace movement. Especially so since to my generation anyway the anti Vietnam War movement seems so recent. And these talking heads, which served as the rooting gallery that legitimized the Jewish lead Peaceniks of 1968, are now the severest critics of the current ones.

Remember blacklisting? How we’ve been propagandized for the last 40 years into the notion that the Stalinist Jewish screenwriters of the “McCarthy Era” were “victims” of a “witch hunt”?

Well, guess what. We are now being told that Sean Penn and George Cooney “deserve it” if their careers are ruined by their anti war activities. Penn has already had one movie pulled from beneath his feet. But according to Bill O’Reilly and others, that’s what they get for “alienating” the movie going public.

If it weren’t so nauseating it would be funny. This is truly Talmudic reasoning at its best, folks.

Now as far as liberalism in general and the putrefaction that has set in, let us, for purposes of illustration, go to today’s Sun.

On Page 1 we have a very long story on how a Palestinian named Shadi was trained to be a suicide bomber by nasty Arabs. It is titled “Recruited to Die: An Arab’s Story”. Was it Voltaire who said that the headline writer has more influence than the author?

Then on Page 14, yes, page 14, we find “11 Palestinians die in Israeli Raid in Gaza”.

Let’s see what the editorial is today, folks.

Oh, boy, it’s about the upcoming Supreme Court hearing on Michigan’s race based admissions. Golly. I wonder what side the pointy-heads at the Sun will come down on. Let’s go to the last sentence. That ought to sum it up nicely. No surprises here. “ Racial diversity creates stronger companies ------and a stronger nation”.

Let’s seek refuge in the sports section. Thank God sports is free of liberal cant. Certainly we can all agree on that. I’ll try NFL Notes. Hmmm, “Minority hiring record needs to improve” according to one James Harris who says “we’re talking about African Americans, but we’re also talking about the best candidate to get the job.”

Nothing like an objective viewpoint is there James?

Let me read on.

“In some cases where an AA is the best candidate. He’s still not getting the job”.

Quit while you’re ahead ,James.

There’s more, folks. It never ends.

But let me end on a comical note by telling you that the Sun is still covering the outrage over last week’s revelation that the chauffer for the head of the city school system is paid 101K a year.

I said putrefaction. And I meant putrefaction.
