Debunking Conspiracy Theorists Paranoid Fantasies About 911 Detract From Real Issues By Gerard Holmgren c. 2003 Gerard Holmgren 2-15-3

Astute observers of history are aware that for every notable event there will usually be at least one ,often several wild conspiracy theories which spring up around it. "The CIA killed Hendrix" " The Pope had John Lennon murdered ", "Hitler was half Werewolf", "Space aliens replaced Nixon with a clone" etc, etc. The bigger the event, the more ridiculous and more numerous are the fanciful rantings which circulate in relation to it.

So its hardly surprising that the events of Sept 11 2001 have spawned their fair share of these ludicrous fairy tales. And as always, there is - sadly - a small but gullible percentage of the population eager to lap up these tall tales, regardless of facts or rational analysis.

When it comes to conspiracy theories, what is the granddaddy of them all? The Holocaust Story, of course.

Something for those who deride conspiracy theories to chew on.

It has always struck me that much of what we call 'anti-discrimination' law is grounded in conspiracy theory.

For example- 'the old boys club': if you leave gentile males alone to golf privately, they will conspire against women, jews, blacks, etc.

What else is that but conspiracy theory?

There is a great deal of evidence to suggest that Israeli intelligence knew about 9-11 beforehand.

This evidence is clearly of sufficient weight to merit an official investigation. The fact that none is forthcoming is more evidence of a cover-up.

There is also clear historical precendence for taking such allegations seriously: the recently declassified documents that prove beyond a reasonable doubt that FDR had foreknowledge - and indeed intentionally provoked - the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Notice how nobody even brings any of that up now, even though it's really proved as far as I'm concerned (see Day of Deceit). It would raise too many questions about our present difficulties.

Good point Walter. I think that's why the FedGov, Inc. seals up files of investigations for 75 years or something like that. Good n plenty time for those involved to die off so that it won't matter when the truth comes out.

Conspiracy theories are written off by the mainstream as impossible yet the TV has a near daily schedule of useless stories of UFO’s, alien abductions, Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, ghosts and haunted locales, psychics reading the future to the minds of animals or dead loved ones.
