Joint Terrorism Task Force Makes Arrests In 'Hate Crime' Spree by Marc Moran

February 13, 2003 (UPI) -- Hebron, N.D.

It was a cold and blustery day on the prairie some two hundred miles west of Fargo, North Dakota, this morning, but the nippy weather didn't deter the members of the U.S. Government's Joint Terrorism Task Force from fulfilling their sworn duty. Twenty heavily armed federal agents working in close coordination with the SWAT teams from Minot and Grand Forks swept into a brick compound known to house several cells of subversive anti-Government plotters as they busily worked on a paper maché project. Twenty-two members of Miss McGillicuddy's kindergarten class were stunned by the explosive reports of concussion grenades, and those who managed to find refuge in the cloakroom were driven out into the open by canisters of CS gas tossed in by the Kevlar-covered, automatic-weapon-toting agents. The retching, gagging five-year-olds were dragged into the open, kicking and screaming, and forced to lie on the frozen ground while sheriff's deputies bound their wrists with nylon handcuffs before throwing them into armored police vans.

"You can never be to careful in these situations," agent Herman Itzkowitz quipped, his Galil Assault rifle at the ready. "They look harmless enough, wearing their little smocks, but you could see the hatred in their eyes as we swept into the room. These aren't you average kindergarten students, these kids are a threat to national security."

Federal Prosecutor and head of the Joint Terrorism Task Force Michael Chertoff agrees.

"We are trying to send a chilling message to school children everywhere that you don't question authority. Anyone who gets any smart ideas about dissent will feel the heel of my boot. Metaphorically speaking, of course."

The investigation began when the class wrote an "Open Letter To The President" asking Mr. Bush to reconsider his plan to attack Iraq, urging him to think about 'the kittens and puppies and little boys and girls' who might lose their lives if Iraq were invaded.

Murray Steinberg of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was the man responsible for opening a dossier on the Kindergarten class and their sixty- five-year old teacher, a gray-haired spinster who bears a striking resemblance to the farmer's wife in the painting American Gothic by Grant Wood. Miss McGillicuddy was killed in the assault on the George Washington Elementary School as she fought with agents, using a pointer.

"We always regret the loss of life, but in this situation it is clear that Miss McGillicuddy did not intend to be taken alive. She had a long history of challenging authority. Just last year she had three overdue library books. I can't share the titles with you, but they were of a 'questionable nature' and indicate clearly the kind of person she was."

Her influence over that class had begun to develop into something far more dangerous, far more subversive than anything this small town could have imagined. Crayon drawings that featured no minorities. An unyielding insistence that children dress and behave 'properly.' And a seemingly endless, Hitler-like attempt to resist the use of such books as "Heather Has Two Mommies" and "Daddy's Roomate" in teaching Tolerance and Diversity, despite a court order.

Just this past winter she led the children in the singing of non-secular songs like 'Silent Night, Holy Night' and made absolutely no mention whatsoever of Hannukah, Kwanzaa or Diwali, while at the same time encouraging her class to 'Remember that Christmas is not about getting presents, it's about the love God showed us in the birth of His only begotten son, Jesus.'

Reports from former students that she encouraged them to 'think for themselves' and 'never to accept something without first researching the matter fully' indicated her dark agenda. Her Svengali-like hold over her youthful charges had led investigators to question whether or not her class had become an 'anti-government cult' not unlike the kind run by former Branch Davidian David Koresh. All of these acts led, inexorably, to a violent and bloody end for this intolerant and hateful Anti-Semite.

During the course of the investigation wiretaps and bugging devices were installed and satellite monitoring had taken place, showing the playground where children frequently practiced paramilitary training during recess. "You could see them out there, pointing their fingers at one another, making sounds like 'bang-bang, you're dead.' It was enough to chill even the most jaded federal agent. Some of these guys would go home at night and have scary dreams about children shooting them and their life-partners. Without the psychological counseling, I don't know what we would have done. You just kept thinking, 'What if it was my kid?' I can't imagine how they kept this from their parents," said an unnamed agent who worked the case for nearly a year.

Many parents were equally shocked when news of the raid first came out, initially expressing anger that their children had been gassed, clubbed and bound hand and foot in sub-zero weather. A quick debriefing by Federal Authorities dispelled any concerns, and most parents quietly returned to their homes without comment. Some however could not contain their horror at what had taken place in this sleepy little farm town.

"I was like, Wow! Who'da thought it? I mean our little girl was doin' so well with her readin' and her numbers. She was even gonna help me with my taxes next year. I shoulda known somethin' was fishy," said Delbert Odum, parent of one of the suspected 'hate criminals.' "I mean, hell, I can't even figure out my taxes -- not that they're too high or nothin'. I don't mean no disrespect, know what I'm sayin'?"

Others have been less than enthusiastic about the government response -- leading investigators to question their loyalty to the Government and the possibility that there may yet be some undiscovered cells operating in the area.

"I just don't understand why they had to kill Miss McGillicuddy," wept one parent who refused to give his name. "She was a sweet, harmless old lady who would never hurt a fly." He was later escorted into a van for questioning, screaming, "I haven't done anything wrong! I haven't broken any laws! This is a free country!"

It's this kind of perception that points to the urgency in the government's action.

Responding to the severity of the assault on George Washington Elementary, Michael Chertoff angrily responded.

"We can't have these people believing that because they think they know the person that somehow their reputation and standing in the community is some kind of protection from Government involvement in their lives. It's not. People have got to get the idea through their thick heads that Government knows what is best for them and if we have to imprison them or kill them to protect them from themselves then we will have no choice but to do exactly that. If people just go around thinking for themselves then they will give other people the impression that they can too. What would happen to our Democracy if people questioned the Government? I'd probably be indicted, that's what! And let me tell you, I'd rather see them all rot in..." His words were cut off by the rotor blast of the Blackhawk helicopter that touched down in a nearby field, but his wild gesticulations and spittle-flecked lips gave ample proof of his intention of performing his job with every ounce of energy, every fiber of his being.

As one bystander put it, "I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of that guy. Maybe those little kids got what they deserved. I mean you can't just go around calling people 'doody head' and not have to pay the fiddler, you know what I mean?"

Yes, we do indeed.

Dammit, I thought this was real until I got about a third of the way through it. I'm so gullible... :P

It goes to show you how plausible this type of stuff has become, though. Very little would surprise me in these days of WN roundups and obvious lies being debated on news shows as proven facts.

That's just cause they've all been arrested and moved to Ashford's concentrations camps! Why that town used to be nearly as big as Phoenix! ;) :D
