GOOD NEWS Canada has offered to help the U.S. in the war on terrorism! They have pledged 2 battleships, 6000 troops and 10 fighter jets.

BAD NEWS With the current exchange rate, that comes out to 2 canoes, a Mountie and a couple of flying squirrels :D

Now, now Avalanche, don't be too hard on us Northerners. ;)

I don't know if you've heard of Paul Watson, the Canadian environmentalist crusader, head of the Sea Shepard Society, but he's been stirring up trouble by attacking whaling ships, drift net fishing and such for years. During one of his illegal escapades he was rounded up and arrested by the Canadian navy, which he promptly insulted by boasting that he'd sunk more ships in the last 50 years than the all the Canadian navy put together. And he was right!

As for those 10 fighter jets, they're useless because they've never been upgraded to handle the new communications systems used by NATO forces, so they 'fly alone'. They might as well send the squirrels.

It's just a really good joke! I actually really LIKE Canada, I'm sorry it's gone all socialist and stupidly anti-gun... But it's a GREAT country! I almost moved to Vancouver years ago -- I was almost offered a job in a shipyard there, but they had to go with a Canadian first. B.C. is just great!
