*Is there any doubt why the Europeans are getting sick of Americans? McCain accusing the French of putting their oil interests ahead of the war. Surreal.

US senator accuses France of being interested in oil contracts

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US Republican Senator John McCain, a former presidential candidate, Wednesday accused France of opposing military action against Iraq solely to protect its oil interests.
"The French seem to go where the oil contracts are," McCain told ABC news when asked about international support for a US-led war.
But, he said, that if President George W. Bush decides to go to war, "he will get great support."
"Some of it has been expressed by eight countries," McCain said, noting support from Britain, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
He said Germany, which opposes any military action in Iraq, "had a domestic situation which the chancellor took advantage of."
"But I think you'll see significant support from around the world," he said.
Earlier in Berlin, a spokesman from Chancellor Gerhard Schroder said Germany's position will not change no matter what US Secretary of State Colin Powell told the UN Security Council on Wednesday.

So, let's see here. The French are protecting their oil interests, while our goverment is hell-bent on enforcing the Likud agenda, hmm. Something is clearly wrong with those Pierres. Oh, almost forgot. We're also supported by Bulgaria and the Republic of Georgia. Whew.

Au Contraire, Monsieur McCain, France is opposed to war against Iraq for matters of principle and says that continued inspections, with a possible lifting of sanctions, is the best recipe for successful peace. So there, you long-lost spoiled brat of a neocon brown noser. If France was REALLY interested in oil contracts, She would be ALL UP for this war like the Bloody British Goverment is, salivating at the prospects of a post-Saddam Iraq !! Just how diametically opposed to the truth can you get Monsieur McCain ? You are either an utter fool or think we are.
