No surprise at all....nada mas! I can visualize the Blacks and Latrinos warring each other, battling for turf. Hey, I can at least dream on...... verdad? I shutter to think what happens to their numbers when you include all the illegals!
Census: Hispanics Pass Blacks as Largest U.S. Minority Group

WASHINGTON ââ¬â Hispanics have surpassed blacks as the nation's largest minority group, the Census Bureau said Tuesday.
The Latino population grew to 37 million in July 2001, up 4.7 percent from April 2000. The black population increased 2 percent during the same period, to 36.1 million. Hispanics now comprise nearly 13 percent of the U.S. population, which grew to 284.8 million in July 2001.
The estimates are the Census Bureau's first statistics on race and ethnicity since results from the 2000 census were released two years ago.
Census Bureau demographer Roberto Ramirez said it has long been expected that Hispanics would someday surpass blacks because their birth and immigration rates are higher.
"And the trend shows it will clearly be increasing more in the future," Ramirez said.
Whites remained the largest single population group, numbering about 199.3 million in July 2001, nearly 70 percent of all U.S. residents.
Asians are the next largest minority group after blacks and Hispanics, at about 12.1 million, or 4 percent of the population.
The federal government considers "Hispanic" an ethnicity, not a race. Therefore people of Hispanic ethnicity can be of any race.

This is an historic milestone comparable to the closing of the frontier in 1890. Blacks have officially gone from being "the" racial minority to "just another" racial minority.

it's the 2 of them versus whites. And the results, whatever happens, will suck big-time.

I agree with wintermute. The "people of color united against the white oppressor" stuff may play in the universities, but it sure as hell doesn't in the streets.

Jay, I agree with you, which is why I stated "I can at least dream on." Up here in NYC, there's an unholy alliance between blacks and latinos. Often, Sharpton includes the Latino "struggle" along with the black "struggle" while he's bashing Mr. White Man. This does translate to the streets, subways, and schoolyards where one can witness a mutual respect between thugs of the black and brown shade. The two camps clearly hate Whitey although I'm sure that as more and more Brown masses infiltrate the city, displacing blacks, this unholy alliance will crumble. However, I'm sure the situation can vary between different cities and regions of the country.

Up here in NYC, there's an unholy alliance between blacks and latinos.
In NYC the predominant group of "Latinos" are mulattos from Puerto Rico -- they are by most definitions, "black".

"Hispanics" include whites of Spanish ancestry. And you can get a day's work out of mestizos.(May not be quality work, but that's another story.)
Blacks are just wholly & utterly useless. I will agree that a small percentage of them buck the trend and are intelligent, productive citizens; and many who aren't are still God-fearing people with good hearts; and they shouldn't have been brought here in chains but left to scamper through the forests and jungles as Nature intended.
But that can't begin to compensate for the havoc they've group-wreaked in every sphere of public life, and their hopelessly child-like dependance on the public sector: to give them cash, vouchers, food stamps, jobs, domiciles, community programs, midnight basketball, methadone cures, heat in the winter, cool air in the summer, and ever more 'rights'. There isn't a race on Earth that hops up and down bleating for the State to palpably inflate and prop up their group self-esteem, and provide them with a direction in life.
Under other circumstances, it would be funny! Seriously, if our blacks were some other country's headache, Jonah Goldberg would lead off every column with a wise-ass insult at their expense. Unfortunately, they're not.
Yeah, illegal immigration's a real problem, but so is zero-sum emigration. 36 million blacks who won't shut up and won't go away, "motherland" or no "motherland". Hey, where would they go? England? But that's muti country! They'd end up packaged and sold as "bushmeat". France? That's out: they'd learn, first hand, what real Arabs think of their black "brothers". Brazil? Step off, homes, the cops down there don't wait for the guy with the camcorder to set up; they shoot ya dead and leave you where they find you. Africa? Nigga, pleez! No American black is suicidally crazy enough to go "home".
All of our other minorites could conceivably be relocated to their homelands without catastrophe ensuing. It's only the most ignorant, violent and useless one we're stuck with.

Yes, true that! Also, throw in Dominicans, West Indians, and the Mestizo nationals into the mix. 'Dis eees too many 'speecs in Noo Yawq City, hombre!!'
Hispanics which I think clearly qualify as Whites are many, many Cubans, some Mexicans and a tiny fraction of Puerto Ricans....direct decendants of the Spaniards.

Precisely why the mestizos are being let in. A portion of their population will work, and the rest are still able to be used as a cudgel against whites. I agree with the guys who think we are headed to CWII. Deportations? Maybe we'll see them running for the border to avoid worse. If if takes worse than deportations, who cares? Keep in mind what they'd do to you. The mestizos are animals. The PR's are mostly mulattos. Animals too.
I will say that the White Cubans here in L.A. act like Whites. They can't stand Mexicans, blacks, in fact, they can't stand latins. Including non-White Cubans.
This is all happening on purpose of course. It will blow up in a lot of faces too.

I agree. They're an untterly intractable problem.
I think that even the Paleo fantasy of spending a trillion bucks to encourage them to emigrate to Africa is delusional. They're stupid, but they're not that stupid. They know that once the whites are gone to hold the place together leaving them to their own devices, the place will revert to the jungle in a single generation.
I see no peaceful solution to this problem. Blacks know in their hearts that they eat well and wear nice sports shoes because whites built a modern economy, and whites are too much emotionally addicted to their own ego-feeding altruism toward blacks to ever admit it publicly.
The only workable approach is to encourage them to have fewer babies while encouraging whites to have more babies. That, combined with a full stop to third world immigration, would solve the problem in a few generations. But again, that ain't gonna happen, because whites lack the evolved sense of self to implement and carry through on a long term project like that.
My best guess as to how this thing will play out is that whites will finally find their backs to the wall, and then they'll fight. I have enough faith in human instinct to believe that, although I know WN's who have given themselves completely over to despair on that point. Anyway, once white consciousness is awakened, then we'll deal with our IP and Negro problems in short order. The truth is that if we actually wanted to, we could establish a 100% white country within one year. It will come to that, I think. There will be a cataclysm of some sort, maybe a Civil War II. But we'll win once we get annoyed enough to get off our fat asses and fight.
