White House Wannabe Edwards Has Ex-Klansman for Mentor

If the rest of the media do their job, White House wannabe Sen. John Edwards will find, like Sen. Trent Lott, that words can come back to haunt you.

At Bill Clinton's impeachment trial, here's what Edwards had to say in the Congressional Record on Feb. 12, 1999, according to CNN:

"... [H]owever reprehensible the president's conduct is, I have to vote to acquit on both articles of impeachment."

'Please Listen'

"I have one last thing I want to say to you all, and it is actually most important. If you don't remember anything else I said, and you weren't listening to anything else I have said, please listen to what I am about to say because it is so important to me.

"I have learned so much during the 30 days that I have been here. I have had a mentor in Senator Byrd, who has probably been a mentor to many others before me."

Byrd, of course, is America's most famous former Ku Klux Klansman.

Edwards, a multimillionaire Democrat trial lawyer, is from North Carolina - a white Southerner. Sen. Hillary Clinton and other party leaders have recently tried to exploit the Lott mess by implying that white Southerners are all racist right-wingers, as opposed to the racist left-wingers they court.

Thanks to the reader who sent us this tip. He wrote: "Wow, how many 'regular people' have a former KKK member as a mentor? Makes Trent look like a civil rights leader."

In his testimony, Edwards urged us to listen to his statement. He might regret those words.

I'd take Edwards over Bush any day.

Yes, I hope Edwards wins the Dem nomination. Not that I'm going to vote for him...

Senator Byrd is a far better man than Bushie.

Byrd has made known his opposition to another war with Iraq. He has also been one of the leading opponents of Bush's amnesty plan. I hope Edwards has been paying attention to his mentor.

The full-scale publicity campaigh waged on behalf of Edwards by the one-eyed Jew is a sure indication that he, like Bushy the Younger, serves Zionist interest. John Kerry, for example, another Democrat senator who's seeking the presidential nomination, has been all but ignored by the one-eyed Jew.

Very amusing, Zoroaster.

I watched Edwards's announcement of his candidacy live on C-Span, and he was introduced as John Kerry.

Any North Carolinans here? Is Edwards any good? I only know what I see in the newspapers and I don't trust the newspapers.

The intent of my last post was to instruct, not amuse. Only a lemming would be taken in by the likes of Edwards.

Is Mr. Edwards a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, The Trilateral Comission, The Bilderburgers?

Am I wrong to assume that his standing with the globalists, and his having the proper attitude towards Izzreeeeall will determine his chances of being offered a chance to make a run for the presidency?

BTW, I agree with Roy Batty on another thread ,"Worse is Better."

I think that this MR. Edwards is just being promoted as a fall guy to secure Hillary's Democratic nomination for President. Gore would have been a tougher challenger and it was prudent to get him out of the way, probally by blackmail of some kind, of course. Think of the possiblilites that she could exploit with the lemmings with Edwards' klansman connections to make herself look good. Hillary will run and she will use everything in her witch's bag to get that nomination and the presidency.
