BEIRUT: Beirut dailies warned Friday that Israeli allegations of arms transfers from Iraq to Syria and Lebanon showed that the Jewish state intended to take advantage of an eventual US war on Iraq to settle accounts with its Arab enemies.
"Israeli allegations that Iraq was siphoning banned weapons for safekeeping in Syria and hints that some were earmarked for Lebanon's Hezbollah indicate that (Israeli prime Minister) Ariel Sharon has revived efforts to persuade Washington to include other Arab targets in the event of war on Saddam Hussein's regime," said the English-language The Daily Star.
"Israel awaits Iraq war... to strike Lebanon," read a headline in the leftist As-Safir newspaper, considered a mouthpiece for Syria which stations more than 20,000 troops in Lebanon and dominates its smaller neighbour.
"At a time some Israeli observers noted that Sharon's declarations were part of a new campaign to counter the weakness of the Likud electoral strength, others said these remarks reflect a desire to take advantage of the war on Iraq to settle accounts with Israel's enemies in the neighborhood," the paper added.
Al-Mustaqbal newspaper, owned by Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri, accused "Israel of continuing its incitement against the Arabs and particularly against Syria and Lebanon by taking advantage of the atmosphere of incitement for a US war on Iraq."
In Beirut, President Emile Lahoud swatted down subsequent Israeli media reports that Iraq had sent Syria rockets designated for the Lebanese radical movement Hezbollah to launch attacks against Israel in case of a war on Iraq.

That certainly makes sense. We take Iraq, install a government freindly to US oil interests, and let Israel run roughshod over Syria and Lebanon, then share Iraq's oil.
No force anywhere can stop this plan, if Bush and Sharon want to pull it off.
We have between 250,000 and 300,000 troops in the area now, backed by the most modern weapons in the world. This is the force we feel necessary to invade defenseless Iraq. Yeah, right.
This is the nose of a very large camel.

The Zionist/Jewish dream of a Greater Israel is about to become a reality with the help of the Bushwhacking lemming in the oval office. As an Atheist, I am appalled at the absolute stupidity in the christians cheering for the Jews goal of dominating the middle east and one only has to look at the plight of the Palestinian people to know what is in store for the rest of us. :(

For what it is worth:
ÃÂ Officials Contradict Sharon's Warnings
Prime Minister Sharon was also taken to task for his remarks last night about Iraq.
He told a television interviewer that there are unconfirmed reports that Iraq has hidden biological and chemical weapons in Syria, that a Palestinian terrorist cell trained in Iraq to use shoulder-launched missiles to shoot down planes at Ben Gurion International Airport was recently caught, that Iraqi nuclear scientists are working in Libya, and that the PA and Iraq are working together.
The interview came only hours after Sharon told the country that Iraq could very well attack Israel.
Labor Party leaders said that Sharon was "causing panic" merely to divert public attention from the headlines of alleged corruption in the Likud. They were particularly incensed after IDF Intelligence Chief Gen. Aharon Ze'evi-Farkash told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that the likelihood that Iraq would attack Israel before an American attack is low. Moshe Arens, who served as Defense Minister during the first Gulf War, also said that the chances of an Iraqi attack are not great.
In a related item, the Health Ministry has decided that there is currently no need to incoculate the entire population against smallpox. ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ ÃÂ Arutz Sheva Israel Broadcasting NetworkÃÂ
When I first heard the claim of Sharon about Syria I thought bravo sierra. That lying piece of camel dung would climb the steps of a 10 story building before he would be truthful with the U.S.
Im not sure that Israel will go into Syria proper on the ground, they have the U.S. to take care of that and the fifth column and the "christian" zio**Nuts** to demand that we do just that. Most Americans are so ignorant about what goes on over there they probably wouldnt notice and if they did, wouldnt care for as Ed noted above, those people dont stand a chance. The U.S. will win all the battles, but when this is all done will lose the war, unless they are prepared to kill everyone over there.
Instead, I expect the Israelis to throw all the Palestinians out of the occupied territories while doing as little as possible to assist the dumba$$es in the central government over here who are playing the role of a shabbos goy.
Screw Israel.

If we achieve victory in Iraq while Israel destroys other Arab countries, we will secure the ill will of Arabs for the next century. We will learn what real terrorism is.
