Yes, the President of the United States' Kwanzaa Message. What's next, his Festivus Address? "As we gather under the aluminum pole for the Feats of Strength..." Or how about celebrating the venerable tradition of the Great Pumpkin distributing gifts to good children on October 31st? Never mind. Satire is now obsolete.

Text of President Bush's Kwanzaa Message

The Associated Press Friday, December 20, 2002; 5:10 PM

Text of President Bush's Kwanzaa message:

I send greetings to those celebrating Kwanzaa.

Kwanzaa celebrates the traditional African values of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith. From December 26th to January 1st, people of African descent gather to renew their commitment to these seven principles, known as Nguzo Saba, and give thanks for the blessings of family, community, and culture. Kwanzaa is also a time for Africans and African-Americans to honor their common heritage by participating in events based on early harvest gatherings called matunda ya kwanza, or first fruits.

As individuals and families join together during Kwanzaa, their joy enriches communities in the United States and across the globe. By uniting people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs, this holiday promotes mutual understanding and respect. These universal principles inspire us as we work together for a future of freedom, hope, and opportunity for all.

Laura joins me in sending our best wishes for a memorable Kwanzaa, and for peace, happiness, and success in the coming year.

self-determination (for the race, not for individuals)

collective work (Communism)

responsibility (to support collective)

cooperative economics (Communism)

purpose (to serve the collective)

creativity (don't you know blacks are creative, there's not a rock in Africa that doesn't have a pretty picture painted on it)

faith (in Allah)

Will Boosh be sending out a Christmas message, or did Ramadan cover all that already??

Kwanzaa celebrates the traditional African values of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

Unity - I'll give them that. They are far more unified than Whites.

Self determination - Hardly, without the government taking giving them checks, and jobs they would be in trouble.

Collective work - Absolutely. Consider that grandma almost always takes on the responsiblity of raising her daughters kids fathered by a host of men.

Responsibility - Their 70 percent bastard rate and fondness for prison hardly prove they are responsible.

Cooperative economics - I guess so if you consider that Tamika whores so Tyrone can sell his crack to her.

Purpose - To take advantage of the blessings they have being born into a White world on which they can rely to provide for them.

Creativity - More like mimickry. Their creativity mostly results from their inability to fully emulate Whites.

Faith - Faith that no matter how awful they are there will always be some foolish Whites who will take up their cause.

Gee, guys. I hope you don't mean those remarks about Kwanzaa as a description of all Blacks and me as an individual.

Someone should break Jorge's balls at a press conference by asking him if he knows the true meaning of Kwanzaa. Just ask him what he thinks of XYZ truth, and watch the big retarded dislexic stumble & fumble and dodge.

;) Cute, Ed. Hilarious actually. If I had an IQ of 80 or below, I would have almost * been offended by the above statement. News Flash, pal! You're dealing with an intelligent* Black person here, not some stereotypical thug from the ghetto. I've so far treated everyone on this fourm with the proper respect and I demand that you (and everyone else here) extend me the same courtesy. Do we understand each other?

Not my words, but I recognize that there are many blacks who defy such stereotypes.

Kminta,

I've so far treated everyone on this fourm with the proper respect and I demand that you (and everyone else here) extend me the same courtesy.

The "demand" part wont work here for the reason that most of us really arent interested in demands, as they have been abused in the past, but at the same time Ill grant you the respect that you deserve based on the merits of your posts and your civility. Speaking for myself and taking you at face value I dont consider you to be a part of the conduct that I consider to be repulsive. Indeed, you seem to dislike it as much as I do.

Welcome and Merry Christmas to you.

=================================

And a Merry Christmas to the rest of you people as well.

To any remaining who still think there's a difference between "Republican" and "Democrat":

The only president prior to Bush who has offered Presidential Kwanzaa greetings was that avatar of sleaze and evil that Bush was supposed to be a new broom sweeping out of the White House: Bill Clinton. Nobody previous had offered so much as a shout-out.

So why would this 'Republican' eagerly continue a wholly bogus 'tradition' begun by what we're supposed to believe is his ideological opposite? Because when Perle has his hand up Dubya's back, he's bulldog-resolute. At all other times, he rules with a mix of cluelessness and fear. After Lottgate, I'm shocked George wasn't wearing a dashiki for his Kwanzaa Address.

Um ... most Blacks are Christians, such as Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Kwanzaa is not a Muslim holiday.

Yes, Blacks can be Christians, but they can never, ever be Whites (and please no more tired Michael Jackson jokes; I don't care how much plastic surgery he gets, he's not, and never will be, a White person, ok?)

In all fairness, prior to Klinton, I'm not sure any significant numer of White people (other than on campus, perhaps) had even HEARD of "Kwanzaa." Never-the-less, it is a disgrace that some Commie Blacks can basically say, "hey, let's rename Christmas as Ooga-Booga-Munga Day," and actually have the President take them seriously....

I had never heard of "Kwanzaa" until around 1991 when political correctness began to enter the public consciousness, despite the fact that this ersatz holiday was created in 1966.
