Gee, what a surprise. The Feds are going after their boy. Why don't they spend their time dissolving the gangs, fighting the drug trade or stopping illegal immigration?

Note that the charges he pled to are not outlined, but the story is written as if he has admitted to the theft charges.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- David Duke, a one-time Ku Klux Klan leader and Louisiana politician who took his call for "white survival" overseas while the government investigated his activities, pleaded guilty Wednesday to mail fraud and tax charges.
He could faces up to 15 months in prison and $10,000 in fines at his sentencing March 19.
The plea, the same day an indictment was filed, followed his lawyer's announcement Monday that Duke had returned to Louisiana to negotiate with prosecutors after three years out of the country.
Prosecutors alleged that Duke misrepresented himself to supporters as nearly broke, took in contributions and misspent the money on casino gambling and investments from 1993 to 1999. He also was accused of filing a false 1998 tax return, allegedly claiming $18,831 in income while actually having income of about $65,034.
Duke's attorney, Jim McPherson, said Monday that the Justice Department had been examining Duke for possible income tax violations involving the $100,000 sale of a list of Duke supporters to Gov. Mike Foster in 1995.
Duke had won a Louisiana House seat in 1988 and ran second for the U.S. Senate in 1990 and governor in 1991, while claiming to have jettisoned his racist views.
A poor showing in the 1992 presidential primaries effectively ended his flirtation with mainstream politics, although he placed third in a 1999 congressional race in the New Orleans area.
Duke had just started a speaking tour in Russia in January 2000 when federal agents raided his home in Mandeville, La. A search warrant, based on testimony from confidential informants, alleged that Duke took hundreds of thousands of dollars he solicited from supporters and gambled the money away at casinos.
Until his return late last week, Duke had been lecturing and speaking in Russia and other European countries in what became a crusade for "white survival" against Jews and non-Europeans.

If the South were smart, they'd go back to their old "States Rights" party. I hope the South (and whites around America) starts to realize that the GOP doesn't care about them either and forms their own party. 10% is a huge bloc when it comes time to negotiate. BUdget impasse? Give us something we want - DEMS or GOP - and we'll shift to your side.
THAT is power. Not blindly voting for "the lesser of 2 evils"m a 10% bloc. Negotiations are built around gaining majorities. End immigration, and we'll pass your budget, Jorge. Or Daschle, we can talk.

Even the revelation that he had a mistress and fathered a child from her did nothing to bring him down to his knees begging for forgiveness. Oh, that's right; only White men are supposed to do that. <_<

In 1999, Federal Government activities disclosed that it was investigating the fact that David Duke had quietly helped Mike Foster win election for Louisiana?s Governor. After it became apparent that nothing illegal occurred, the Federals then massively expanded their investigation in a four-year effort against him. An error was discovered in his tax returns. David Duke?s accountant openly took responsibility for the mistake pointing out that while his wife dying from cancer, he had made some innocent mistakes in preparing Duke?s tax return. On his later learning of the error, Duke immediately amended his returns and paid some additional taxes and penalties.
As the Federal investigation grew it expanded into other areas such as mail fraud and included a host of financial allegations such as money laundering. As you are probably aware, in most financial matters, the government can pile on charges almost without limit in technical cases, such as in tax charges. For instance, if they claim you hid taxable income they can charge you with multiple counts of "money-laundering," using the mails fraudulently, filing false statements, etc. Almost any supposed offense can be expanded to dozens of charges and counts. "Money laundering," was a law originally meant to give drug dealers long sentences, but now it can be added to almost any tax or other kind of financial charges the government levies against a defendant. The mail fraud part of the Federal allegations is primarily to make it appear as though David Duke has misused gifts from his supporters in gambling and other disreputable activities. The effort at character assassination should be transparent to every patriot. Making these kinds of charges and allegations is the most effective way to weaken the financial support (and it is very modest) Duke needs to fund his work. If the government is able to instill doubt in the mind of his supporters by these spurious allegations they are can choke off his support and greatly silence his voice.
Ultimately, David Duke had a terrible choice to make. The Federal Government, led by Mr. Chertoff, threatened to indict him on serious, multiple charges. His trial would be held in New Orleans, a city that is 70 percent Black. He would have been tried before a mostly black jury. If he would lose the trial, he would certainly face a sentence of 25 years or more.

David Duke would get an all black jury while I wouldn't be allowed to serve on any jury with a black defendant simply because I'm a white male. When you see juries like OJ's that had no white males (and only one white famale), it's not because of a lack of whites called for jury duty. It's because defense know that white males tend to care about the evidence more than anyone else. But, if David Duke's lawyers tried to remove blacks who would vote guilty regardless of the evidence, the judge wouldn't allow it because removing jurorrs based on race is illegal (another of those laws enforced only against whites).

As a matter of fact, the homeboys in Chicago are asking the same thing. Jesse absconded with lots of bucks. If America were wise and allowed rough justice, Jesse would be packed in concrete and enjoying the view at the bottom of Lake Michigan, courtesy of his own people.
Duke? Whatever others may say, he is still the most effective Euro-American spokesman because he's managed to get quite a few professionals and middle class American whites to look around and think about their situation. He was often the only voice a lot of our people heard, and that's worth something.
I will continue to support him. Face it, the media sharks have been circling for years looking for this opportunity and it's still small beer. A charge of "financial irregularities" in a country that has an IRS means you have enemies and we already knew Duke had them, didn't we?
