On the 700 Club today, Pat Robertson said that Trent Lott should step down and let Mitch McConnell be Majority Leader since the Democrats have a permanent weapon they can use against Lott every time he tries to move a bill through the Senate.
The logic behind Robertson's comment is the standard GOP type of thinking, and it reveals why the GOP and "mainstream" conservatism have lost the battle against liberal initiatives for the past several decades. The GOPââ¬â¢s response smacks of retreat and surrender, ceding the moral high ground to the Democrats, as usual.
Whatever happened to fortune favoring the bold? Or the best defense being a good offense (pun slightly intended)?

It still does...just that nobody has the balls to be bold anymore.

Hmm, I guess having Lott out is most beneficial to Israel. Pat Robertson is the biggest useful idiot for Israel (and ultimately, the Jews, who despise and wish him and Xty nothing but ill).
And the idiots want Mitch McConnell as majority leader. This inbred Southerner (McConnell) was the biggest champion of the KLA Islamic militants and bombing [Orthodox] Christian Serbia, as well as champion of the Chechen Islamic terrorists and their jihad against [Orthodox] Christian Russia.
If McConnell is picked to head the Senate majority I will NEVER vote Republican again. Forget lesser of two evils. I think I might vote Democrat out of spite (voting Constitution Party doesn't accomplish this).

The "Christian" zionuts aren't even Christian since they have nothing but disdain for the traditional "anti-semitic" Church.

Historic Christendom was always so and it is these whores of the Jews who are the Anti-Christ's cannon fodder.

I keep saying every single paleo & Old Rightist ought to write in "Thomas Jefferson" or "George Washington" the next time around. As long as you're gonna use your vote to protest the status quo, or throw it away on the lesser of two Zionist tools, we might as well put the Hymiedia in the embarrassing position of having to announce on the air that a Founding Father, two centuries dead, got 3% of the nat'l vote in 2004.

Pat Robertson is one to ignore. He demonstrated both cowardice and nescience when he put out an interesting book denouncing the New World Order -- and then apologized for it. The man really would have gotten my vote and support if he'd have shown some spine back then, but a man can't show what he ain't got.

That book still sits on my shelf. I have to say it's a funny experience to watch Robertson now on TV kissing Bush's rear end, hoping the GOP will throw his Christian Coalition a scooby snack and give them some more socially conservative judges and justices, and then comparing the present Robertson with the Robertson who wrote that book in 1991. What a tremendous difference. Aliens must have come down and stolen his body or something.
In fact, I'm getting a quote out of that book now that really will weird you out, given the circumstances:
**As I am digging through all of the research and analysis in these chapters, some readers might wish to say to me: Pat, you are an Anglo-Saxon and an Ivy League law graduate. Your father was a senior United States Senator, and you have a distinguished heritage that goes from colonial days back to the nobility of England. You qualify to play a leadership role in the Establishment and its plans for a new world order. So why don't you just keep your mouth shut, go along, and take the wealth and privilege that is there to enjoy?
My answer to such a question is very simple. I believe in freedom. I believe in equal opportunity for all people. I believe in free enterprise capitalism. I believe in the wisdom of the market.
Furthermore, I believe in the sovereignty of the United States of America. More than anything I believe in Jesus Christ, and I do not think that a man-made new world order is His will for mankind. I believe that God has never given anyone other than Jesus Christ enough wisdom to run this world, and it is my frank belief that some of these Ivy League characters trying to do so, have up to now made a colossal mess of it. (p. 127)**
What do we take away from this passage? Has he sold out, in the end? Or is he just trying to appease Bush and the rest in the hope that he might be able to get some of his aims accomplished, like a reversal of Roe v. Wade, which I imagine he'd think would restore God's blessing to America and things will end up all right in the end, for this nation? I think maybe this is the more charitable interpretation, but if this is what Robertson is doing, then it's a big gamble. I don't like using the nation and the future of our people as a casino chip.
Perhaps I don't have enough faith. Well, okay, I know I don't. I only really watch the show for political reasons, to see what the conservative Christians are thinking out there. But I think he could be doing a lot better. He could be using his large following and his vast resources to resist Bush's Homeland Security plans and all that. He could do so much more, since there are millions out there who trust him, and send him loads of cash. I lived in Massachusetts and remember that during one of his fund-raisers, some woman from Charlton (the town next to mine at the time) pledged like $5000. That's not unusual.

Madrussian,
These Jew-ass-kisser Evangelicals claim to be such biblicists, yet they [stupidly] interpret the first 65 Bible books through the lens of the last book (NB: Protestants have an abridged Bible with only 66 books). Furthermore, since Protestantism (like Islam) is all about a book (vs. a community, as in the historical Christian church, which existed before the Xtian Bible) it is non-liturgical and thus incapable of realizing that with the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD Jewish worship could no longer exist (Judaism today is discontinuous with the OT).
I wish Anti-yuppie or whoever it was who re-posted that Sobran article from 98 (99?) re (subject): Gentiles have historical and modern reasons for disdaining Jews [my paraphrase], would re-post it once more.

Yes, many of our slack-jawed brethern seem to believe there are three types of people, Christians, nonChristians and Jews.
The problem is that they are given lots of TV time because the media Jews can reinforce our mindless support for Israel and at the same time make Christians look dumb.

Pick on Pat, but say what you will, his wish that McConnell take over does seem a little prescient now. I bet he would have been a lot better than Frist.

Lott himself could have defused these allegations, instead of licking the boots of the Media !! If I was Trent Lott... I wouldn't have apologized, I wouldn't have gone on BET like a dog. All I would have said is " Look, I was at a party commemmorating the TOTAL career of Strom Thurmond. Why shouldn't this man feel pride in his life that he ran for President ? I was indeed intoxicated and my feelings at the moment should not be misinterpreted. I abjure myself from any spin the media has assumed. "How's that.......
However what's done is done, and I don't blame Republicans for distancing themselves or calling for his resignation, the GOOD of THE PARTY must prevail. He blew it, and we will have a better leader in the Senate IN SPITE of the horrible reasons for this debacle.

Exelsis Deo;
Quote "... we will have a better leader in the senate..."
Yes we will have a new leader in the senate called the democrat party and their Jew puppetmasters in the ministry of truth [news media].
Every time the bolshevicks need to whip the republicons back into line all they will have to do is wave the image of White-hooded republicons in front of the sheeple and you can bet the farm that the testicular challenged members of the stupid party will be back in line groveling at the feet of hymie and rastus.
