Subj: [LE-pgroup] SF hit by DoS attack

Last night Stormfront was hit by a Denial of Service (DOS) attack. Fake user IDs were logged on to the server (at times numbering around 1,000 fake SF IDs) until the requests overwhelmed the server and crashed it.
After this, many good women of Stormfront, began receiving offensive Instant Messages by the dozens. Many of these messages threatened inter-racial rape and called these women offensive names.
Yet the attackers were still not done. It was discovered that the hackers posted the photos of Stormfront members on the online Jewish Dating Service, JDate.com. Many good women and men from SF were posted on that web site, although as of last night, not all had photos attached to them.
This attack was planned for quite some time. They have gathered any personal photos that were posted on Stormfront by us, gleaned any information from our Stormfront profiles, and even gleaned information from our posts itself. Anything that was posted on SF was basically wide open and public.
As I write this (the next morning), Stormfront is still down. I have no information as to whether the attack is still commencing, or if Mr. Black is trying to get the server back up. I think we all can be very certain that no one at Stormfront is going to allow this to keep us down.
The part about the photos could have been prevented if the forum members had not posted their own pictures. Everything on forums like these is, as the writer suggests, "wide open and public," and thus users should act accordingly with common sense.
The OD forum is less visible than SF, and draws a different clientele, so we may be spared this problem. Of course, there's a lot of truth told at OD, and with a level of sophistication not found in Hollywoodesque-leaning places like SF--that may make us a target.

Stormfront embodies the classic WN stereotype: a bunch of illiterate rednecks spewing racial epithets and posting pictures of Hitler like there's no tomorrow. Consequently, I'm not surprised they get attacked as frequently as they do. Of course SF has its educated members, but as a whole, it's pretty much a joke.

Interesting exerpt from latest Stormfront post on this matter.
Stormfront has been under relentless DoS attack for weeks now. These attacks are well-coordinated and highly skilled. It seems that Schilly has carried out his threat.
I can tell you that we are lucky to be on line at all.
Aside from vigilance, which means that Don and Janice are reacting constantly, the only defense against these attacks is faster servers and more bandwidth.
Stormfront is already in the red. More computer power requires more money. Without more computer power, Stormfront goes down. The end. Lights out.
I've urged people on this board many times to just send ten dollars, now and then. Few actually send even that much. That's the problem with White Nationalists. Lots of talk, no contributions.
If we lose Stormfront, the jew will score a major victory, demoralizing us and seriously damaging our communications. The jew knows how popular this site is, the jew knows how important Stormfront is to our communications. That is why he is trying to take Stormfront down. The jew is spending money to take out Stormfront. The jew does not spend money if he doesn't think he has to. Well, he's spending money now.
All White Nationalist websites that I know of, including New Nation News, Hal Turner, WCOTC, VNN, Resistance - all of them, are being hit simultaneously, right now, by these same DoS attacks. It is a coordinated, well-funded, collaborative campaign.

**Just learned that server suffered a Denial of Service attack. Still working on things. Sorry for the trouble.
I seem to be having some server issues, with the board and site going up and down.
I'm trying to get it worked out with my host provider and find out what's going on.
I apologize for the difficulties and ask for your patience. The database is backed up, so whatever the problem is with the server we'll be ok in the long run.

Anyone know what the current status of these DOS attacks is? The site seems awfully slow today.
Sure wish we could do something about this.

Well Okie, there are things that can be done, for sure. The real question though is being in a position where you can do those things. Of course it always boils down to $$$, unfortunately (see our friend Davey Horowitz in NCW, for example).

According to my stats as of about 2330 Wed. night we were only up to about half our allotment (5 gigs of 10) for the month. 'Course it's only the 20th in a short month, but right now we're on track to having our busiest month ever by a significant margin. That trend forecast over the next few months doesn't bode too well for our server capacity as I am paying for it now. We're coasting along ok presently, but if this place gets significantly busier in the near future I'm going to have to reassess the sitcheeashun. But that's ok and a positive!
