I've no great love for Bill Moyers, but O'Reilly is a bought-and-paid-for FOX News shabbas-goy attack dog whose swaggering tough-guy act is a stench in my nostrils. He won't say "Israel" without salaaming in total supplication - the "taxpayers" can go f**k themselves when it comes to his First Cause....but a 60s-leftover and a public-tv network on life support are just his meat. Like the "America" he champions, O'Reilly has no balls to hit anyone who might knock him out in response. Bill Moyers is his Grenada.
I'm the first one to bitch about PBS but I can't help noticing that the same Jews who infiltrated PBS a generation ago are the ones agitating for an auto-da-fe these days. I.e., we've burrowed into another host body and sucked it dry - say, fellas, before we abandon it, let's see if we can't gain a paycheck or at least an entry point into a brand-new host body out of it before we book....hmmm, these Republicans seem easily-manipulated....and they're fat enough to house all of us....
Bill Moyers buys newspaper ad to answer criticism from Fox News' Bill O'Reilly
December 5, 2002, 1:17 AM EST
NEW YORK (AP) _ A simmering feud between talk show host Bill O'Reilly and public television journalist Bill Moyers erupted on Wednesday after Moyers bought a newspaper advertisement to respond to what he called a "vicious personal attack."
Moyers was referring to O'Reilly's syndicated column, published in the Daily News on Nov. 25, in which O'Reilly criticized him for "profiting from taxpayer money" by keeping the sales proceeds of videotapes of some programs he does for the tax-subsidized Public Broadcasting System.
"Public television rarely funds my work _ I raise the money myself, from independent sources _ but when it does ... PBS owns all the distribution rights, the proceeds remain with public television and my share is minuscule," Moyers wrote in the ad, which appeared in Wednesday's editions of the News.
O'Reilly responded to Moyers' ad during his Fox News Channel show, "The O'Reilly Factor," on Wednesday night.
"All I want from Moyers is some accountability," O'Reilly said. "I have nothing against him personally or journalistically."
He said Moyers "is in bed with PBS, which is spending our money."
"There's stuff going on here that needs to be explained," O'Reilly said. "Moyers can take out all the expensive advertising he wants, but until he answers specific questions, he's just hosing the taxpayers, in my opinion."
In O'Reilly's column, he also criticized Moyers for not taking his telephone calls inviting Moyers to "Factor" to discuss some of their issues.
"I have tried to get his side of the story. However, he will never come to the phone when I call," O'Reilly wrote. "In a speech shortly after 9/11, Moyers called me a warmonger, or some such, for advocating strong military action against Afghanistan."
In the newspaper ad on Wednesday, Moyers wrote that O'Reilly was "not telling the truth" about the phone calls or the "warmonger" comment.
"One of his staff called my assistant to ask if I would appear on Mr. O'Reilly's show, but I declined," Moyers wrote. "I would never refuse a call from Mr. O'Reilly, although my ears are not quite tuned to his decibel level."
Moyers said he did not call O'Reilly a warmonger in the speech last year. But he said the talk show host's passion is equaled "only by his stubborn, ignorant denial of complexity."

I despise them both, for different reasons. With Moyers, those reasons are too obvious to mention. O'Reilly is loathsome because he's a bully trying to cover up the fact that he's really just a coward: he kicks the sand monkeys relentlessly, but won't dare lay a finger on King Arik or any other yahoodi because he knows just what that would mean for him personally. And he's a false safety valve for disgruntled White conservatives, letting them blow off a little vicarious steam, keeping 'em nice 'n' harmless: "Hey, did ya see O'Reilly last night? Damn, he really nailed Jesse Jackson, boy! Ha! Good ol' Bill!"
Plus, just like Rush, he's an obnoxious loudmouth who clearly thinks he's a genius.

Bill NEO'Reilly, is much more loathsome than Bill Moyers in my opinion. NEO'Reilly is a completely fraudulent piece of dung, whereas you know where Moyers is coming from a mile away. I totally respect Leftists when they "come out", but NEO'Reilly is a filthy, obnoxious, angel-of-light where "if it were possible, would deceive the elect"---somewhere in The Bible.

If O'Reilly takes on Moyer he will get his clock cleaned in anything resembling a fair fight. But, of course, O'Reilly will see to it that the fight is rigged so he won't be exposed as the idiot he is.
He is always bragging about the fact he went to Harvard. He mentioned it again last night.
2 nights ago he had 2 kids from U Mass -I believe it was - and he asked them if the school admin knew that a sex film was being filmed in one of the dorms. Both kids were smart enough to realize this was the defining moment of the interview and each in turn answered that in their opinion the school was unaware.
O'Reilly, undeterred by this tempotrary setback, in a classic O'Reillyism simply replied, "sure they knew. They had to".
This is what I hate about him. When he doesn't get the answer he wants he simply ignores it and provides his own answer.
Now last night all of a sudden he was was saying "if they didn't know - they should have". Which is quite a different thing than "sure they knew, they had to".
This clown will never last. I predict he will have a short shelf life.
Cable news such as MSNBC and FOX are so bad, so lacking in talent it reminds me of the early days of TV when it was like the Amateur Hour.
Christ, Greta Van Sustern! John Gibson!
Give me a break.
I don't know where they found Sheppard Smith. I like the guy because he is the anti Rather and has the demeaner of a game show host but he screws up pronunciations so bad that I get embarrassed for him. Last month he was doing a blurb on J Lo and instead of "snow job" he actually said "blow job". He finished the rest of the news with the very same look Tank McNamera used to get on his face when he would be shown thinking to himself "Did I just say norts spews instead of sports news?"
At the end of the broadcast he looked at the camera and said "sorry about that screw up. I don't know how it happened".
Course he knew that he had just retired the trophy for "Greatest TV Blooper of all time".

I noticed on that 'Fox Report Show' with Smith that they've been mocking Iraqi TV each night. I'm no big fan of the Iraqi's, but that just seems to be a little out of line.

I do not like Bill Moyers that much. But I agree. "O'Reilly is much more loathsome than Bill Moyers..." I know what Bill Moyers is... But He has done a great job of cutting up Jorge and 95% of what he tells about Bushie is True.
