This editorial in addition to hysterical ranting about the danger posed by Chris Simcox, the publisher of the Tombstone Tumbleweed, who has called for the formation of a citizens militia to secure the borer and anyone who thinks this is a soveriegn nation that deserves protection says:
**It is difficult to understand what patriotism has to do with Simcox's militia. A patriot does not take the law into his own hands as Simcox advocates. He obeys it. A patriot does not instill fear in his fellow citizens as Simcox's militia has done. He seeks to honor his country, not to flame prejudice and rancor that could cause harm. **
Makes you wonder where the editorial staff of the Arizona Star went to school. Bezerkley? American history must not have been on the agenda.

What else can you expect from a state that elects McStain?
The "mainstream" talk radio hosts haven't been helping either. Sean Hannity was doing his best to paint the militia as a bunch of crazed rednecks. I don't usually listen to him but was driving around and caught a bit of it. Yesterday he was dissing shortwave hosts as the ones being out of control over the Daschle flap, so you know where Sean's politics are. fsck him

** He also contends that his vigilante movement "is not about the Mexican people specifically, they just happen to be right next door."
Simcox is completely mistaken. It has everything to do with the Mexican people, and arrogant assertions to the contrary will not controvert that fact. **
You can never win trying to appease the destroyers of society. The only way to make them happy is to yield completely, they dont believe in compromise.
**If you've got militia types running around claiming to be enforcing immigration laws, how are they going to tell who's who? I think we need to leave that up to the Border Patrol and INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service), people trained to do that." **
I love the education culture of America. Only people properly trained can do anything. But we have schools that each year graduate more and more students who cant read or identify the latest country we are bombing on a map. Most everything I've learned has been on the job. And I dont think it takes much training to understand that a gang of mud people scurrying across the desert at the border are illegals.
A patriot does not take the law into his own hands as Simcox advocates. He obeys it. A patriot does not instill fear in his fellow citizens as Simcox's militia has done.
I thought that our laws were based on the will of the people. In this case the acts of our representatives run counter to what the people want. So the people are simply enforcing the law as they, not the two political parties, would have it. Besides, we all know that liberals dont like unjust laws. Didnt the negroes engage in righteous disobedience of segregation law? And that was actual disobedience. These guys are just organizing to protect their land, the same as any citizen watch group.
